Why were you guys not trading on Atomic-Trade, Cryptsy or Mintpal instead? Why trade on these anonymous exchanges? Who is to blame?

Don't blame the victims in this case, many were there trading coins that aren't on the exchanges you listed. From the very top to the bottom all exchanges are a risk, whether it be by fraud, hackers or regulators.
Trick is not to use exchanges (or any online source) as storage. I have a pretty strong philosophy on this, was in and out of sharex for any trades, yet I still got caught with coinage there.
I was in the middle of a trade when it went down. I put a sell order on some coins and I never saw them again.

Here is the link to the current ad on Sharexcoin.  I wish I had the time to decipher all of this.  Maybe someone else can determine who is the owner.

Yes, after it has been proven that it was indeed a hacker or zip.

Also we need to prove who owned how much on sharex

I can't imagine someone investing so much time and energy developing an exchange site and running away in just a few weeks of operation. Something doesn't add up here.

if it is so that someone can come out and say something

so I suppose it was someone with already an exchange working that copy pasted it and changed the look
and copied and pasted the code from another coin to create share coin
so it probably was not that much time invested in it but a very well thought of plan !!

Problem is, altcoin markets move so fast, how do you trade effectively/quickly without having coins stored on an exchange?

At the moment there are different theories about what has happened to sharexcoin. It doesn't seem to be a scam as in take the money and run. Think everyone is hoping for the owner to come online and tell us what has happened.

You still think is not a scam ?
