OK, a serious question here.
I'm considering signing up for a remote data storage server to hold a few gigs worth of personal data.
This is the features I'm looking for:
- Being able to pay in bitcoin. - A reliable serious service - Reasonable bandwidth, not looking for unlimited. - 2fa if possible - a few gigs of available space, but less would be sufficient as well. - encrypted storage should be allowed, I'm thinking of encrypting with pgp 4096 bitkey (according to schneier, that should do it) - secure transfer method, preferably no proprietary client software. - preferably not us-based.
It should not be necessary to explain what I will use it for, but I'll throw it out there anyway: In the event of fire or a breakin, it would be nice to preserve personal data, as it's worth more to me than my hw.
PS: I'm not looking for anyone googling for me, I'd rather hear any personal opinions/experiences.
Thanks for all serious input.
