I sent an email to Truthout.org, asking if they wouldnt accept bitcoin so I could make an anonymous donation. I got this reply:

Thank you for supporting Truthout!  Per your email, we do not currently have a bitcoin account but this is something we will look in to.  If you would still like to make an anonymous donation, please consider calling in to us, 213-489-1971, and I can process a donation from you with just your credit card information so the donation can be completely anonymous.

That is almost as funny as the thought that OWS accomplished anything or Ron Paul could be elected.

At least those two movements actually motivate a few people, and might actually shift political debate in the US a little. Truthout is like that hippie neighbor with 17 cats who keeps inviting you over to smoke hash, listen to Jello Biafra and talk about Che.
