I suspect it will double before the end of the year. That much investment means there will be a lot of support for the currency.

That's weird, I swear I saw a press posting here about the 1st qtr of 2014 being 4 times higher than all of last year in terms of VC money pouring in. But either way, I'll take this a positive news and puts the writing on the wall for the later this year and beyond.

Bitcoin is a modern Gold Rush, there is no doubt.
This will work out well for a certain % of VC's, but a healthy number will sadly get burned by their own "need" to rush in with the herd.

If you just see Bitcoin Investment as a way to gain more fiat, though, you might be inclined to save until you hit your exit price.

I had heard about the successful fundraising by Bitpay and Xapo, but was really surprised to learn that there were three other ventures involved in such projects (Bitfury, Circle Internet Financial, and OKCoin). Hoping for even more!

Know nothing about Circle Internet Financial. What actually they do?

I tend to think of it in the opposite way. Fiat is the riskier venture.

Some of these ventures can become the next Apple, reaching close to $1 trillion in market capitalization. Those guys who are posting that they are overvalued will be having a gigantic face-palm by that time.  Grin

Hadn't read the "Gold Rush" comparison in a while, it's spot on.
I hope many profit with this and not too many get burned, if they are properly informed there shouldn't be a reason.

It kind of feels that way for sure. It is a great feeling to be early for once.
