As things escalate very quickly, I am announcing that the fork will end on april 15. I will stop the node at that date. Cryptopia will delist GoldReserve and then I can apply for a new listing as a token.

Good news. I was just able to swap using the fork over 150K xgr! I think I used the deposit feature correctly (no error messages!) to contract those shares using the Youtube videos (THANK YOU for the videos!). I just need a little help on how to verify the contract and check if it is staking properly. I did not see where to do that on MYETHERWALLET. Could you please let me know how to verify and view the contract when you get time?

I have sent XGR to the burn address but no tokens have been credit to my new address.

I have double checked and I have well over 10 confirms on the transaction.

Ok I found the transaction code and checked it . It says there was an error and was reverted. I followed the video but something was wrong in staking. Can you help? Thanks

make sure to have some eth to your account. i think my problem is that i only had a few dollars worth of eth to pay for the transaction. now i have to buy some more eth which will take about a week through coinbase. sigh... I think that is why it would originally go through then fail.

You need ETH only if you want to stake. And you will want to stake if you own this token. It is no longer a limited supply coin. It is now a unlimited supply token. If you do not stake, you will lose out to inflation as more and more XGR tokens are added to the system. You can still make money with the token hopefully a lot of money but the game rules have changed.

Hi, ETH is only needed to make transaction (transaction fee/payment to miners). If you want to stake/make contract, then you have to deposit your token to deposit address and for that you have to pay transaction fee.

This new XGR token is a smartcontract on the Ethereum blockchain. Everytime you want to interact with the contract, like transfer (send) tokens or START to stake, you have to pay a small amount of gas (small amount of ether). Normally its like 0,001 ether/interaction or less.

If anyone want to check the status of their stake, please fell free to use Fusion Wallet which is the official wallet of GoldReserve. Even if we call it beta, you can use it to check your token or stake status (read only wallet) or you can use your private key and stake from the wallet with only one click.

I would recommend that everyone use the Fusionwallet.io I tried the Myetherwallet but it requires more time to understand in my opinion.

The ETH fee for my upcoming stake transaction is exactly 0.00477186 ETH using Fusion wallet which is not much but if I knew before I transferred the XGR I would have converted a few XGR for ETH.
I bought $50 of ETH (have to wait a week through Coinbase) which I will then send to my Fusion wallet.

The ETH just has to be in the wallet. The fees will be taken automatically only if you choose to stake

Hi, etherscan will not show XGR until you log into myetherwallet or fusionwallet.

Fork is happening each 24 hours. Around GMT+2 1 pm. So  if on the fork webpage you check your ether address and it says you have the balance then the tokens will appear in your address soon.
