Vancouver is one hot spot for Bitcoin ATMs! Found this one at Thai Vietnamese Cuisine. Their address for the people in the Vancouver area who care to know is located on 986 West Broadway and Oak. Just thought I'd let the community here know about the location.

Now there are 2 places to cash out if you need to. Here and Waves!

These ATMs are starting to pop up more and more everywhere, and I like it for the user adoption! Oh yea, and no blood sample was needed when buying, which is a plus!

To the moon!
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Vancouver is an awesome city. I haven't been back there since before the Olympics.

But one gets the honor of submitting biometric information, right?  What's not to love?!?

That is a nice price. Some in the US charge like 10%.

Seriously, there's no need to worry. The time to worry is when it's uncovered that the Secret Service has an office above some notable Bitcoin-base entity AND other Bitcoin-based entities have on their boards members affiliated with surveillance suppliers, ex-FBI notable, military personal, and the like.

Update: Time to worry!

What?  Me worry?

Bitcoin proving useful to a wide userbase with vast influence is hardly a negative from the 'make my speculation pay out' end of the spectrum...and Bitcoin has already served it's purpose as a spark for further developments as far as I'm concerned.  With participants like Mike and Gavin it's not hard to see where the center-mass of the Bitcoin ball is rolling.

Although I'm leery of being lulled into complacency by an apparently benign regime of corp/gov involvement, I've predicted that Bitcoin could be more useful alive than dead and kept my nose clean in my own speculative endeavors.  My chief concern would be that TPTB will be vindictive and cannot stand the thought of anyone capitalizing by employing my strategy.  And thus they'll 'cheat' when they feel so inclined.  Probably I'd be better off keeping my mouth shut.  Oh well.

Slightly confused about all this. I thought that already there were two Bitcoin ATMs operating in Vancouver. The first one, located at the Waves Coffee Shop (Robocoin), and the other one located at the 332 Water Street (Lamassu ATM, Quadriga CX, near the harbor).

There are 6 I believe.  Quadrigacx, Decentral, Waves, Steamrollers, This new one, and I know of a few more people who have them but haven't deployed.

I was talking to someone in Vancouver the other day who showed me a mini atm (one of six) that does not require any biometric data. So expect to see them in the Lower Mainland in the not to distant future.

Six ATMs in a single city? That is amazing. So Vancouver should be in the no.2 position in the world, in the number of Bitcoin ATMs (I am not sure, but I think there are 7 in Singapore).

Vancouver is a great place to start a Bitcoin related venture. The Bitcoin economy is very big there (when compared to other places).

The Vancouver bitcoin economy is very vibrant. It's 1st ATM has gotten many people in that area interested and involved in bitcoin.

I expect the same to happen in other areas that have bitcoin ATMs.

The more ATM's the beter. Fees will go down sooner as amount of ATM's increase. Once it's low enough, it will enable random Joe to use Bitcoin and wanders it provide.
