Hello,

Many of you probably know me from other sites. I've been hanging around, but have not created an account. lol I don't really like making accounts. I'm connected with Hiro of http://agoristradio.com/ and some of you might have heard my name on the show.

I made a trade in Mt. Gox about a month ago. Two weeks ago I made the choice to pull it all out and do other things with it. I was withdrawing into MXN and sending it to a bank here in Mexico. Like I said, it has now been 2 weeks and Mt. Gox keeps giving me a stupid run around every time they reply to my support ticket. The transfer is only about $500USD worth, I was mainly just playing around with their services to see how I like them now that some time has gone by.

Long story short, no money. I am strongly starting to believe that they have been acting as a fractional reserve and don't even have the money to send me. Please, let me know if others are having the same problem. I've heard this is being called, "Being Goxxed". I just want to make sure.

Below I will be posting the parts of my conversation with Support at Mt. Gox that are relevant to this thread.

Hello,

I have sent a withdrawal to my account here in Mexico. Info below

**#**

It has been 5 days now and the funds still have not been entered into my bank account. I was wondering if you can check the status of the transfer and let me know if there was any problem.

Thank you for your help,

Hello,

We have looked into this transfer and we see that the funds are still in pending status. We apologize for the delay. Will you want us to

notify you once we see an update from our end?

Thanks,

MtGox.com Team

That would be great. I know not to plan on funds being on time. However, I do have plans for the cash for this weekend. If there is any extra information that you need please let me know. If on your end you can see if it is not going to likely be here by the weekend, that would be nice to know also, so I can make other arrangements. Thank you for your prompt reply.

All the best,
JLansing

Hello,

Unfortunately, your transfer is still pending within the system. We will notify you as soon as it is credited on your account. Please be aware that it will most likely not be processed for another week by the banks. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience through this matter.

Thanks,
MtGox.com Team

Me (Four days later) -

I was watching today for an email from you. However, I still have not received confirmation that my funds have been sent. On the 1st of this month I sent notice to your system that I wanted my money sent to my bank. The next business day is the 14th. You have had 2 weeks and there is nothing.

I'm going to be very straight with you about what is going to happen next. I just read that "TradeHill is suspending trading and returning all client funds." I am in the process of posting my experience with you on forums and other outlets, my voice is one of the few that gets heard, you can look forward to hearing it from people other than myself. Links will follow this comment. I believe that you do not have the money that I gave you. I believe that you are fronting right now and that my funds will never be sent. I also believe that you have been acting as a fractional reserve.

I see that some of the exchanges have stopped accepting Mt. Gox Codes & are treating them as if they are worthless. They have even started to call what is happening to me right now, "Getting Goxxed".

Any response to this message that does not contain an "exact date" that the money will leave your hands and be on the way to my bank will be unacceptable. And my posts will continue.

I am not trying to threaten you, however, I am giving you the facts of what is about to happen.
I gave you a VERY small amount of money so that I could test your services.
I expect nothing from you. Although, if you give me the money that is mine and I will take no action and accept that I must be mistaken. No reply will be taken as a reply.

Regards,
Jace Lansing

Hello Jace,

As our FAQ page states, international wire withdrawals typically take 2-5 full business days to reach your bank, provided that you have included all required information such as your full name and address as it appears on your bank statement. It seems that your transfer is still pending. If you are unsure of the status of this transfer, we suggest contacting your intermediary bank to inquire the reason for this delay. We will continue to check the status of this transfer, and as soon as it is processed and credited to your bank account, we will notify you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks,
MtGox.com Team

Me -
An intermediary bank is required when sending a payment in a currency that is not the domestic currency for the destination country. For example a USD payment to HSBC in Hong Kong will need to be routed via a US Bank. However, I sent MXN to Mexico. No intermediary bank should be needed. If you did send it to an intermediary bank, please tell me what bank it was and I will contact them.

My bank needs the Tracking/routing # of the transfer. Can you please provide that number and I will contact my bank to make sure where my money is and to have them confirm who's at fault for this delay.

Hello,

Unfortunately, your transfer is still pending within the system. It should be completed shortly, and we will notify you as soon as it is credited on your account. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience through this matter.

"It should be completed shortly"

Please define "shortly"? I believe shortly should mean within 24-48 hours. Please give me a clear understanding of the time frame you are referring to.

Hello,

We were able to locate the transaction in question. It appears that our bank is still in the middle of processing the funds, we expect them to be sent out within one business day. Please be aware that after the funds are sent it will be a further 1-2 business days (2-3 full business days after us writing this email) before the transaction is finalized and the funds become available.

Please let us know if you do not receive the funds within 2-3 business days, and respond back with the information below as it appears on your bank statement

First/Last Name:
Full Address (including country)

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Mt.Gox Support either by responding to this email (should the enquiry relate to this ticket) or by using the following support request form:

Thanks,

Awesome, that is just what I was wanting to hear.

Me (Again, 2 days later) -

"Funds are on their way via international ********, and should reach you in a few business days"

I was told that right after I started sending my funds. Now, you say that you expect them to be sent out within one business day. This is the second full day. I expect a Tracking/routing # of the transfer to talk with my bank about. I know that there is a chance they won't reach my bank for the next few days. However, if you did send the money there will be a Tracking/routing # of the transfer. If my funds are still pending in your system by tomorrow, we have a huge problem.

Here is the information again.
(Name, blah blah blah)

I have heard nothing back from them and I'm starting to believe that my money will never be sent. Please, let me know if this is happening to others.

Thanks guys!

I've gave up on MtGox a long time ago, and was lucky to have done that before they were compromised. As a result of having an MtGox account I had multiple hack attempts (none succesful) on my email account.

Do you feel that after the compromise they secretly started acting as a fractional reserve? Or why did you give up on them before? I'm looking for a past/present history of them not sending money when all the right information has been given to them. Thanks for the reply.

You honestly believe that MtGox doesn't have $500 and that is why you aren't receiving your transfer? Have you bothered to check the daily volume on Gox? Do you really think it would be this high if no one could withdraw money?

Of course they have $500. xD Just because they have the money, doesn't mean they have the money for me. I understand what you are saying though. However, it has been 16 days and it is still pending in their system. If I am the only one, then that is what this thread is about. For all I know, there could be many more just like me that are pulling out their money and Gox is just giving them the same answers that are being given to me. If it's just me, that would be great.

Alright, it just seemed like you were suggesting they had no funds for withdraw, which I'm sure would cause instant massive outrage on this forum.  Wink

The problem is probably something else, hopefully they get it straightened out for you.

If anyone has preformed a wire transfer withdrawal within the past two weeks... and had it finish within the past two weeks that would give me some comfort. Can you blame me for not trusting the comforting words of their support staff? xD I just want the truth, and that almost always comes by the collective talking freely. Thanks again!

Hey, I just came across this post with two other people having problems getting their money out with an international wire transfer. Of course, it could be unrelated, but it's worth noting.
