I urge anyone in receipt of emails similar to the below to do nothing with their content. If you use an email service such as Hotmail, I advise you to report them as phishing spam (pictured also).

The attachment contains what appears to be a linux based selection of files. I have not attempted to open them.

Although it appears to have been thwarted by my junk filter, I have seen a number of these make their way into my inbox. The number of them that I have recieved is... disturbing, to say the least.

Whoever is silly enough to buy that stuff, deserves to loose it's BTC...really...humans need little bit more natural selection.

In a way, I agree with you. The source is fairly close to the actual forum URL though, and for a second I was slightly thrown. Also, the identifiers used appear to be real, so I imagine that they use the identifier to gain your wallet ID.

Yeah you've got to be pretty slack to fall for this stuff. Oh look, I've just won the Nigerian lottery.

I think many people do not have Java installed on their machines, but I could be wrong.

The idea is, after the user open this virus. The virus will send your btc to another address (steal).
If you just ignore these mails you wont have any problems.

... um bitcointalk has no connection to blockchain.info

took me half a second to realise it was fake

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at
