yakamoto, now that you're helping to manage this campaign, can we expect regular payouts on Tuesday or is it going to be Wednesday.  I think the important thing is that it's consistent and that we're told in advance about aberrances.  Another thing I'm confused on, what time exactly does each week start for the purposes of counting posts for a payout period?  Is it Monday 00:00?  In what timezone?
I have to say it's up to XBTec when the payouts will actually occur. I'd expect either Wednesdays or Thursdays (Probably Wednesday because I'm helping now, and there's less members), but calculations are consistently made on the Tuesdays of every week. After the calculation has been completed, it then goes on to the next week. So whatever I have you dialed in at on Tuesday is what you get.

I am in UTC -7, so if it's 12:00 in London, it's 5am here, assuming I got that right.

TL;DR: Next week post numbers happens once I have calculated your posts. Not once the count has been posted.

Ok, I understand that the week begins/ends sometime on Tuesday of each week.  In that case, please confirm my updated rank for the coming week.  This post will bump me to full member (and I will at the bigger signature accordingly).

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

For simplicity's sake, whatever I see at the time of calculation is what the rate is. There is no way to historically record when a person's activity changes, unless it is obvious.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In relation to the other comment about post size,

I was asked by XBTec to not discount any posts, and as such, unless there is consistent spam, I am not allowed to deduct payment.

I do have some part in deciding what is spammy, but anything that is not one line or less is something I cannot decide on.

I'm curious to see what XBTec thinks after week one, and we'll see. I may have done what he wanted, I may haven't. We'll just have to see, and I'll adjust my work accordingly.

I understand.  For transparency sake, can you also link us to the spreadsheet withyour results?  I think this wil help us to follow along.

Side note: my post count seems to have finally caught up with my activity---looks like I'm not getting promoted until the next time period begins.

+1, especially because if you (yakamoto) have removed most of my one-liner posts this is the first and the last round that i will stay with XBTec (and maybe it will be the first time that i leave a negative feedback for a signature campaign)

Remember: one liner posts (sometimes also one word posts) =/= non constructive posts

I agree one liner post doesn't means it is spam or non constructive post, not everyone like to post in paragraph. If one liner post replying according to topic of thread then it is fine.

On the topic of that whole whitelist/greylist/blacklist thing, I just wanted to bring up one other point which wasn't brought up before.  Other campaigns which don't pay for "unconstructive" posts don't try to kick people out of the campaign for this, they just don't pay for that type of post.  I guess I'm mainly writing because I don't want to have to think hard about how I use the forum just because I'm a sig campaign member.  Sometimes I write a long long post, sometimes I write a short post with only a word or two.  I do so as it's appropriate in the discussion on the thread.  If I want to say "What about X?" as a question to someone, I want to simply state my question without having to worry about whether my sponsor is going to kick me out.  If I want to post a picture in the "lets count to 11 million in pictures" thread, I want to enjoy doing that without worry.

Basically, I'm suggesting this, if OP doesn't want to pay for certain posts, that makes sense.  If OP doesn't want spammers in the campaign, that makes sense too.   But putting people who use the forum normally (not posting too much, not too often, just posting how they fel when they're online) into a greylist is, IMHO, bad practice.  In the end, everyone who is sponsored by XBTEC is going to be known as annoying encylocpedia posters who just talk and talk and talk despite the fact that the same point could have been made more succinctly.

To try to really drive-home this last point, consider that I could just keep on typing paragraphs in order to lengthen my post, but that wouldn't make it any more constructive than it already is.  More words won't make any more conversation happen, I've already said my point and the resto of this paragraphs in this posts are just for illustration.  However, because I'm not an ashole, I won't go on.

Do you guys understand me?

You are right.
We decided do not complete "grey", "black", "white" lists anymore.
People mustn't think hard about "constructive/ not constructive" their posts.
Now we've got some experience and will manage campaign better.

I'll post the spreadsheet link as soon as I can. This round has very little spam filtering, sadly, but that's due to the fact I had about 2 hours to get it done within the Tuesday. I am now strictly filtering for spam. There is going to be no skimming anymore, it will be highly filtered. I apologize for any spam, and I'm filtering through again as soon as this post is logged.

Can you state what guidelines a post should respect to be considered spam?

You can look at the entire posting history of everyone. As such, no-one has to tell me their "constructive posts" as I can do it my self.

I bet you spent less than 10 seconds checking my posts. How did I score on the "spam detector"?  Cheesy

I am very happy with this arrangement actually. This will speed up payout, OP has less overhead work, less dispute on members' spam content and Yakamoto earn a bit more every week. It is a win-win-win situation.
Actually, a lot of your posts aren't half bad, and so you scored pretty low. I saw at least 4 lines a lot of the time, and that's a decent amount of writing. It's the one-liners I'm more keen about. 4 lines can easily be constructive.

This is not a good measure of "constructiveness".  As I discussed upthread (as of yet unreplied to), typing many sentences when a one or two word answer will suffice is very unconstructive.  Constructiveness is about matching your posts to the situation at hand.  There are many many instances where shorter is better than longer.

I agree with this in a way, I think the campaign runners are turning this into a bigger thing than what is needed and what is good for themselves too.

I mean, checking everyones posts is going to take a while and not be fun. Instead they should just have everyone send a PM to someone once a week with the amount of constructive posts they want to be paid for and if they happen to see that someone has been spamming way too much for his constructive post count. Then they can conduct the amount they feel necessary and just pay him a smaller amount. And if the person tries to cheat his post amount many weeks in a row, then they should be sent into a black list.

Keeping track on everyones post is going to take a long time for the devs, but whatever they feel is necessary I guess. I'm happy with it.

But I do agree that constructiveness depends on the thread most of the time and the post they have replied to. If it's something that can be explained in a couple of words and is still related to the thread and question, then of course it's constructive since the writer isn't just spamming but has read the thread beforehand and then afterwards replied with an appropriate answer.

Giving verdict on constructive post is actually very relative. In short people should be interested in what u r posting. For example, check this post of a XBTec campaigner...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=664620.0

The post is performing well drawing so many eyeballs to XBTec ads in OP's signature. But OP did not actually write anything. Still, I would consider this, a constructive post.

What is happening more and more, is people who copycat other posts, in a thread. I started a thread yesterday, and of the 8 responses, 5 was saying the same thing.

People do not read the whole thread, they read the topic, and jump in and say the same thing, everyone else is saying. Not to be rude, but be creative and add something new and constructive.

Do not just post, to push post count, it's clear when you do that.

Imho is very energy expensive manually check posts of every user of this campaign, but mainly it can be dangerous because yakamoto check only the "raw" post, without going to see also the post context (also knowed as "thread"). In most cases watching the thread is the only way to understand well why a one liner post has been posted, but especially why is constructive.
So please XBTec, stop this way of post counting and leave users to count constructive posts by sending you a pm, of course maintaining a spam check. We are Full, Sr or even Hero members, not children that must be controlled.

you can tell by the context of a one liner post contributes to a topic or not.  IF you cant then your a tard.

I seen idiots posting I hope I win some coins, cause I need them, that was on topic but still not constructive.  If it dont add anything good to the post then is spam cause you are in sig campaign and that how mods will see it.

Sometimes you can tell, not always. For instance, if i say only "Yes, you can", w/o quoting the original post that i'm going to reply, yakamoto for sure will mark it as spam, when maybe is a constructive post cause has helped an user to fix his problem. In this case the only way to check the constructiveness is to read the entire thread (not so feasible for a person that should check all the posts of a lot of users)

For this reason, in my humble opinion, xbtec should use the old but valid method of receiving from every user his count of constructive posts.

This is what I advised him when he asked me how he could reduce the workload and time needed to check every single member of his campaign.
By the way, I really dig the new Sr. Member and Hero Member signatures. They look amazing!

EDIT: About the escrow, I waiting for OP to give me a Bitcoin address to which I can return the escrowed funds. As soon as I receive it they will be send back.
