This is good for everyone. Retailers in Malaysia gains, as they can now shop with Bitcoins. Bitcoiners everywhere else also gains, as the coins used for shopping will be taken out of trade, thereby increasing the Bitcoin exchange rate.  Grin

Amen!  to da moon

We'll see how long before a country starts to embrace bitcoin as a currency.

Now the only thing we need is people with the same balls as this guy.
He'll make much more money than if he'd sell for fiat.

The owner (Mart Tang) is investing in Bitcoins. So it will be to their advantage if a large number of their customers shift to Bitcoin, there by increasing the exchange rate.  Grin

The CEO of Malaysian Online Retailer has been a big time supporter of bitcoin for a long time and he's able to absorb the risks.

Actually I should be patient, it will be a lot harder to come by as the value rises.

They are surely brave compared to other retailers who are actually taking fiat. What is the size of the BTC market there though?

The Bitcoin sector in Malaysia is quite small, but very active. There are multiple Bitcoin ATMs located in Malaysia, and the so-called Bitcoin capital of Asia (Singapore) is just across the strait.
