I want to pay 5 BTC for anyone who can transcribe the following song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWJtQUfL_Dc

You can see a lot of the chords pretty clearly from the video, and I've got the first few myself. But I can only 'see' the chords, I can't really listen to a chord and be able to play it. I've only been playing guitar for a little over a year.

We'd probably need to do some escrow of some sort, because I would need to verify that it really does match the track (according to my hearing). I need a perfect transcription. Perhaps we can split the 5 BTC into 5/<number of chords in the song> payments, and I pay for each successive chord so that I can verify along the way that it's correct, and so you don't have to show the whole transcription to me before I pay. I can cover the fees for that.

The first thing you have to do to tab this is tune your guitar 60 cents sharp and throw out your sense of pitch...

Can you hear that his guitar is tuned sharper? I thought it was odd, that when I tried playing along on some of the notes, to hear, for example, whether he was playing an Am or A, then no matter which note I played, my guitar sounded off pitch (even though I've just tuned it).

This is what I've got so far. I think it's fairly accurate (thanks to good video):

Intro/verse: x7578x x5757x x35453 x2423(2) Am Fm 575555(Am7) 8*10*9988(Cmaj) 797977/797877

Chorus: Em F Am7 8*10*9988(Cmaj) 797977/797877

Totally. I opened the link in a new tab without looking at it, and as it started playing I thought - mandolin? and then I switched tabs and saw it was a full size guitar and that he wasn't even using barre chords.

I guess I need more practice in order to hear things like that. I can only hear relative to other notes right now it seems.

Well since both of you seem to know a thing or two about music, could you take a look at these chords and say if you think they match. I have a revised edition here:

Intro/verse: x7578x x5757x Cmaj7(x35453) B7(x24232) Em F Am7(575555) C(8*10*9988) B7sus4(797977)/B7(797877)

Chorus: Em F Am7 C B7sus4/B7

Sounds pretty accurate to me. I'm most in doubt about the Cmaj7 followed by the B7 in the verse/intro - if that's correct.
