Wilmington, North Carolina-based REEDS Jewelers has announced that they are the newest player in the game of bitcoin acceptance. The large and well-known jewelry store chain has teamed up with Coinbase to allow for bitcoin acceptance both on their online store and all 64 retails locations sprinkled throughout the United States. Customers will be able to purchase gold ingots and fine jewelry and watched using the digital currency, complete with GIA grading reports, according to today’s announcement.

I don't care much about the suppliers, as long as people will be able to buy their jewelry for Bitcoins. Suppliers might face added tax and accounting related complexities. So their refusal is understandable.
