i'v never seen any 5830s single slot. i have seen the ones that hang into the 2nd slot due to its HSF but do not use a 2nd space. I would like to see if anyone comes up with one.

I doubt there's a single slot 6850 as well. that thing gets just too hot in its dual slot configuration already. maybe you meant 6750 or 6770? those are available passively cooled, so they might be available as single-slot versions too.

I'd be willing to part with a 5770.  Where are you located and what are you offering?
I'd prefer to do a local transaction.

I'll have to take a pic tomorrow.  Rigs are not kept at home.  I'll take a pic and post it up tomorrow evening.

Pretty sure it's this one:

I don't recall if it's got the HDMI port though.

The ONLY single slot card are the new XFX 5770s. They have a forced air cooler on them that really performs like crap. however, the diamond and XFX older 5770s only have connections on one slot while the hsf takes two slots. With an h20 or other system or custom cooling you can run a system like this.

I cant remember who, but one of the forum members bought 6 of these cards a while back, 4 of them now are in RMA. So be careful with the new xfx 5770s

That xfx in the photo is a dual slot due to the fan. The bracket is one slot, but the card takes 2, and if you stick two next to each other, you will have cooling issues.

EDIT: this is what you are looking for

A single bracket card even if 2 slot cooler would work.
If that's all you need, you could buy any card that has a full-length opening in the second slot, and replace the stock bracket with one from a watercooling parts shop such as DangerDen. However, where would all the airflow and heat go if there is no slot?

The PowerColor AX6850 1GBD5-I2DH looked interesting but the price was always quite questionable...
