Question: Do you agree with having this new thread instead of the old one? The only problem with the old one was that its administrator, Pikimunga, didn't show up for a month. Hence there is no way to add news/changes to the heading of the thread.

Same here, but I'm using Windows..  Can't help you with Linux.  With this hashrate, unless you have a bit of power it's going to be a tough solo mine.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Ok thanks - will just have to wait it out and see if the block I found appears spendable. Learnt a lot in the last half day - that's one advantage of solo mining!

Just so you know blocks are taking about 45 minutes to mature.

Wonder if there is a multipool hitting it.  I have quit solo mining it already.

Yes, a very good question. because now diff is 5+, so it's time to set up a mining pool

is anyone still mining this? I've got a couple of blocks but the net hash rate is getting pretty low!

I'm solo mining and keeping the wallet active. but more to contribute to the HashRate than to discover coins.

The Cryptocoin Revival Foundation is still working on the explorer for this coin, but it leads to a lot of problems. We hope to release it in due time.

66Coin is just PoW right?

I've got to throw this out.  We are mining or buying into a established coin. If the new devs are talking about dealing with all the previous mined or bought coin (premined, not in the same sense as a new coin), then why mine or buy if something has to happen to delete the 12+ previous mined coin?  Either the previous coin has to be paid off or it's got to start over at some point.  At that point, what happens to our now (new) mined or purchased coins?  I know it's confusing but it's confusing.
