With bitcoin being around for a few years now, there are a number of calculators available which can give you an idea of the chance you have of making a ROI with your selected miner. Whilst they are interesting and fairly detailed, I am finding that the results I get from different calculators vary wildly from making a big loss, to only breaking even through to more than a doubling of my investment. I understand that determining future bitcoin earnings is an educated guess at best but could anyone shed some light on what are some of the better/more accurate calculators out there? Many thanks in advance.

The Genesis Block has a good mining calculator that takes difficulty changes into account with their calculations.

Here is a link to it: https://tradeblock.com/mining/

The mining calculator on BitcoinWisdom is good, as it considers difficulty adjustment every 2016 blocks but not per month.

Agreed.  Genesis block one uses monthly increases which is kind of silly.  We're seeing 11 days between increases, not 14, so working it out by 2016 blocks is more accurate projection.  You still need to guess each dif increase though.

There 'used' to be more truth in forums than anywhere else.  Twitter:  @cryptobitchicks  Spock: "I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring?"  INTJ-A

What are peoples thoughts on the calculator at btcinvest.net? I like how it gives you a week by week prediction. It also seems to give a fairly realistic/believable result.

This is flawed, do not use it you will be at a loss.
The best mining calculator I found until now is https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator. If you predict the difficulty increase right it will be very accurate.
