Like not just locking in a price and getting it later, but actually sending money and getting bitcoin back in my wallet asap. I mean I can't just keep meeting people on localbitcoins as that still takes too long to arrange meeting and what not.
Is there any service where I can just get it in like less than 30 minutes?

How to you intend to send money within 30 minutes such that there is no chargeback risk for the bitcoin seller? If you want to buy bitcoins with money, you need to take both system's rules into account. For traditional money, fast transactions means either cash which is anonymous but must be done in person, or credit/debit card where there's a certain chargeback risk, so the seller must have info about the buyer to be able to dispute a chargeback. Just because one side of the trade is bitcoin does not mean that bitcoin's superior transaction features somehow magically apply to the fiat money side of the trade as well.

Cool. That makes a lot of sense.
What if I could get my money into something that wasn't fiat money? Like some easily traded commodity? I wonder if there would be a safe alternative so I could then turn that around quickly into bitcoin?

One thing that might work that fast are virtual goods, and for many of them there are marketplaces, so you could do that right now. However, then the problem boils down to exchanging fiat for other virtual goods beforehand, which does not really make it easier.
The other option would be a bitcoin ATM, of course. If you have one in your neighborhood, you just walk a few steps, insert banknotes and get bitcoins transferred into your wallet within seconds. Sadly, bitcoin ATMs are few and far between...

And if you are in Australia, Hong kong or Europe Union, the best way is ANX, it has cero fees and almost instant deposits via bank transfer/deposit, SEPA! ANXPRO

Just use caution and you will be fine.

Try online exchangers or persons who are willing to exchange in some well-known forums, usually I get BTCs in 1 hour or less.

Assuming you live in the USA, you might want to consider using www.Bitcoin-Brokers.orgThere is no sign up, no ID collected. To purchase bitcoin, all you need to do is visit one of many banks (Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PNC) and make a cash deposit. You receive your bitcoin within minutes, and without issues. Here is the Bitcoin-Brokers review thread which has 50,000 views and hundreds of comments from other buyers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237164.msg7108580#msg7108580

I know your tired of meeting people on LBC but why not just do a moneygram transfer on there? I have done it numerous times with a +100 seller on there and including travel time to moneygram location it was less than 25 mins till I had BTC in wallet. Or you could jsut do the Bank Transfer option and that would be equally as fast.

If you live and/or work close to a BTC ATM then you can buy bitcoin pretty much instantly. Otherwise you are not going to be able to purchase bitcoin in less then 30 minutes.

Cool. Thanks for the all the tips. Yeah I'm in the US, so I guess it could be worse, but I don't have an ATM near me I guess I was looking for something more systematic than localbitcoins, like at ATM-like experience. Guess I'm just going to have to wait until one comes.

If you can send a bank wire you can get bitcoins the same day (usually within an hour of when the funds clear) by using BitSimple ( https://bitsimple.com ).
