I read the thread, read my post above - NXT is already being associated with some sort of scam/scandal whatever you want to call it. Whether of not 'John's account was hacked does not matter - a 'leader' and involved in NXT since January involved in a $250k scandal. Great publicity.

Really bad news for Litecoin...

all of its support keeps moving lower.

THey had a nice 640 BTC buy wall at .1602 BTC-e. It appears very little of that stayed there and has sinced relocated to .01575.

This means nearly all of LTC's major support is watching the technicals of the market, which is bearish now. The big money isn't going to artifically support Litecoin until they have the market on their side.

Yeah, so if we put 2 and 2 together, the supply of Litecoins is not diminishing till the next halving, which is going to happen in 2016 I believe? Now, let's look at Doge, the supply dumped on exchanges is diminising with each halving, hence no later than September-November we can expect demand exceed supply, as people are hoarding, just like everyone else is hoarding their favorite coins. Demand > supply = price growing. Price growing = hash rate growing.

The next 'bubble' will be do-or-die for Litecoin.

Network effect/name recognition may help it keep its number two spot, but it's far from certain.

What is interesting is that LTC/BTC hit a huge low right before it spiked massively to 0.05199. This could suggest the current downtrend may not be something to be overly worried about.

As for which coin could take the number two spot... a privacy oriented coin seems most likely to me, with DRK currently being the favourite.

Similar sentiment however I do think that consideration needs to be given to the fact that it is a survivor of the ancient coin days
Survived Fenedrix and that other coin that came after it to get to Litecoin
As a scripting algo it still retains its value and its age means it probably will still lurk in one form or another depending on how many people trade and use it after BTC.

That said its possible we will not be looking at coins at all in a few years but at working systems of decentralized exchange (Ethereum lol if it can do all that or Mastercoin the first branch version)

Honestly its still to early to tell what will happen to early crytos
