We all know the buskers a nice time of passers-by and make a living preachers.
With the transformation of Bitcoin as a payment method, we can apply this model on the net. The fact that the payment is fast, simple and cheap makes it worthwhile in terms of the artist. Distinguish from the street - the artist can reach a much larger audience and revenue potential is many times greater.

You enjoyed watching your favorite band bio - Gay? Contributed her first Bitcoin.

What do you think?

dont just open a website asking for donations. is step one
step two. go up to a busker and teach him bitcoin. get him to make his own bitcoin wallet address and QR code and then get him to display it next to his tip jar.

then video him playing a song or two on the streets and at one point hold the camera up to th QR code. so that we can see there is actually a connection between a random address and a busker..

then you may find its worthy of making a website about it..

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

If you are talking about donating after watching a youtube video, may be not. If you are thinking about tipping a street musician on a internet livefeed, may be.

I believe there is a difference between a live performance in front of you and a video online. Live performances on streets tends to reach put to you more because you are there. Live music moves you. While a video in a browser is too distant, doesn't resonate as much.

Getting change out of your pocket is quicky and easy, sending bitcoin is too much hassle. You tend to think about it more, and probably wouldn't send anything.

I'm a busker out of salt lake city Utah, I've already done this. Since I started putting my QR code up I've only received one bitcoin tip, but I've had lots of people ask me about what it is. It would be an awesome way to receive tips once btc becomes more mainstream.

Hi you two! Let'er bring it in.  Grin

Yes, you are right about youtube video. My browser supports all videos on the internet, and I agree that the fact that it might go wonky on others browsers. Especially mine.

Ahh, my sweet dear just charming in. Have you ever used Morse Code it's good.

Code:
Proper Translation:

How are you?

.... --- .-- / .- .-. . / -.-- --- ..- ..--..

Wrong Translation:

EEEETTTETT ETETEE TETTTTTEETEETTEE

. . . .   - - -   . - -   /   . -   . - .   .   /   - . - -    - - -   . . -   . . - - . .

Remember, never space all characters of a Morse Code or will end up with just that.

Sounds good!

You know what really, really, really motherfuckin' sounds good? Quit posting when your post count reaches a dozen or so, then go and register a new account to pen your next idea on the Bitcoin Discussion section of this forum.

Repeat.
Rinse.
Repeat.
etc.

That way in a year from now when you, i.e., formulate your next scam, there'll be a myriad of sock puppets at your beck and call to claim that it's the best thing since sliced bread, all wanting to suck the CEO's dick, or put it on a slice of bread now that I mentioned it.

Busking online? Happens all the time on SecondLife. Hundreds of gigs each day. But the typical currency there is not bitcoins, but lindens.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

I think the very idea of street music is that it is live and you can enjoy it the open air. Try to see the same performance on the computer screen and you will hardly like it. Also you can toss $0.5 in a hat on the street easily but to transfer $0.5 worth of BTC is problematic because you'll have to pay the same amount or even more as a transaction fee. Thus, in my opinion, it wasn't a great business model, but maybe if a street musician will hold a sign "We Accept Bitcoin", it will make some people smile and they will stop for a second to give some money instead of just passing by.
