It's never to late for a beginner's guide is what I would like to say but considering this is Entrepreneur.com and they are about new businesses I have to agree with your point.
That said the article itself is written well and concisely.
That said Step One works for me when there is a bitcoin store around haha.
Still waiting for this magazine to publish the article they interviewed me for... 4 months ago...
Well that would be impressive remind them kindly perhaps
Or post it in press when it finally gets uploaded.
The lady called me and I didn't keep any documentation of who called me or when, or really even remember what we talked about. I was mostly on the defensive because I had already said too many questionable quotes in my local news papers that my bosses at work didn't look to kindly on.
I normally keep good documentation (e-mail myself a summary of the call, etc.), just dropped the ball on this one and started checking the magazine with May publications because she told me it would take a few months... not too worried about it.
Especially, now that Ohio has come out with their liquor statements (can't use bitcoin to buy alcohol), my getting a bar to accept bitcoin is now moot.
But at least I was ahead of the curve back in 2013 in true entrepreneurial spirit
Cheers (soon in Ohio)
Cheers indeed
Ha-ha more like in 2011 your in the year of Genius up there with Satoshi and the Cryto Overlords before there was even Entrepreneurial Spirit just an idea that had vast implications.
2012 Early Adopters/IT
2013 is the Entrepreneurial year
2014 is the merchant year in my opinion.
Slow but steady and progressive steps to the mainstream.
It's neat though that they at least phoned you up, surprised they did that thought it would be more of a person to person interview arrange a meeting time have a handshake talk to a recorder and then see an article written up later.
I have done a phone interview or two though for the press so I guess it's more common than I knew.
That said kudos to you for getting it written into the local newspaper, I might have to try that myself there have been some houses in the area (Alberta) that were sold for Bitcoins around here so it might be a neat followup.
Might even need to convince a person I know to try selling their $800 K one for some coins if they can find an interested party.
http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/12/04/alberta-woman-willing-to-trade-1-million-property-for-bitcoins-the-volatile-new-digital-currency/ That sucks though I didn't know that Ohio banned Bitcoin Alcohol sales must have missed that press post
On the other hand it gives you more time to teach people about Bitcoin and get merchants to use it if the law gets repealed, get that conversation going.
http://www.wired.com/2014/04/bitcoin_beer/After our story published, Eric Wolf, of the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s investigative unit, sent us the following email, which suggests that Bencheck may be able to accept bitcoins — if he’s willing to go to court.
To court I say just like the prohibition
