Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I tried to withdraw a rather large amount of LIT from nicemining and it seemed to get stuck.  Does anyone know the bitcointalk id of the person who runs the pool?

Thanks

lit.pool.mn is not paying out. What is going on?
I am sorry, there was some error with the cron, it has been fixed now. Please, check that you have received your payments.

any news for bittrex   Huh Huh
No yet. Better check twitter and RT any posts about adding LIT on bittrex. And share your post on Bittrex page on Twitter. Also we all have many other trade flat around. Check vote.  I see on B-ter not any one voice for all day,but that trade flat also very popular and at last time adding more and more altcoins to exchange. If we would be add to votelist on Bittrex and have same results like on Bter now its was not so good. On Kinfcoiny also 0 votes( LIT was added to votelist more then 2 days ago). We need to show that LIT have a community.may be not so large.but strong.if we want be added on Mintpal and Crypsty. Now its better time to show it.common guys. We need more exchanges and we have 4 votelist now( its only 1 day of request). On Comkort we have not bad results now (89 votes),Allcoins(33 votes)-71 place  not bad.but really we can and need do much vore( on that flats anyone can vote 1 time in 1 hour). If sign on Comkort you can vote 3 times every 1 hour. On Coins-E we now have only 5 voices and go down on 10 place from 6. On Coin-E you can vote only 1 time from one account and IP. That coin really good.and have many chances for success. Transactions really very fast, wallet and network worked perfect. Its a result of really great work of Dev,who is primarily involved in the improvement of coins, and does not attempt to artificially raise the price ,with the aim expensive drain PreMain and, accordingly, to kill a coin,as not infrequently it happens now. Produced a total of about 4 million coins from a award for the block has become 10 times less. As You consider this a good value for this coin ? 160-500 Satoshi. We need as many exchangers it is the task that can solve community. Common guys)))) Wake up. Time to start doing first steps to the moon!!!!

P/S : Wallet really work great, transaction is very fast and im never see so much earnings on PoS wallet. Connection with Lightcoin network also stability and strong. Dev way to go!!!!

Aint she cute? The fresh air that a woman brings everywhere Cheesy

Dev posted how to stake coins in your wallet. You dont need to encrypt your wallet unless you want to.

Since we are approaching block 20000 and POS will kick in after that, I am going to add a little FAQ for how to stake the coins in your wallets.

The Minimum stake time is 12 hrs, with no Maximum stake time.
Don't move your coins and have the wallet open for minting.
If you are going to encrypt your wallet, to open a encrypted wallet for minting you can do it in 2 ways:

a) decrypt the wallet by going to your wallet settings.
b) go to help --> debug window --> console and enter this text: walletpassphrase "your wallet Password without the quotes" 99999999 true

a) fully opens your wallet and b) leaves your wallet encrypted but allows it to stake.

No. Staking big amounts don't take longer.
Please note that the more coins you have in your wallet, the more likely you are going to be able to start Staking. If you only have a small amount of coins in total, then your weight on the network will also be small and you will find that Staking may take considerably longer. The more coins you have in your wallet, the greater the weight of those coins will be. This is also why some people may see that their coins maybe showing as immature, even though they have been trying to Stake for over 24 hours.

You can find more detailed information about POS here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_Stake
