I think both types will talk a lot at first, as such trip is very uncommon. Many people would talk, simply because of what they experience

Many people would talk, simply because of what they experience Maybe so, but after about two or three months, the introvert will get annoyed when the extrovert won't shut up about people and things that have absolutely nothing to do with the mission. We heard about your cousin's crazy ex-wife three times already.

We heard about your cousin's crazy ex-wife three times already. Hmm.. this seems right. I think people would sleep during a Mars mission, its a long trip (35-60 million miles if I am not mistaken).

I bet. There was even talk that we could possibly put a crew into hibernation during transit. Though it may be a good idea to have one person who doesn't mind being alone for about six months stay awake in case something goes wrong. Then he can either fix it, or wake up somebody who can.

To stay awake for 6 months straight is not possible, you will have 'blackouts' where you fall asleep for 1 or 2 hours. Its possible to go 1-2 months without sleep using a lot of pills; Correct me if I'm wrong

No, you're right, I think allowances can be made for sleep periods if the person doesn't mind sleeping somewhere close to the control board so he can wake up if there's a problem.
Hence we will need autonomous system and robot before we can even travel beyond mars.
