Excessive Moderation in Poloniex Trollbox

The trollbox is a source of crypto news, entertainment, fun trash talk, and other activities. Poloniex is a small, but up-and-coming exchange that many users find enjoyable. These users also want Poloniex to continue its growth so that they may have an enjoyable platform to trade on. As the trollbox was introduced to increase the enjoyability and usage of the site it is concerning that moderators, who were selected just because they volunteered at random in the trollbox, are becoming excessive and asinine with their moderation. Most will agree some moderation is necessary at times. We do not want people sending malicious links, setting up scams, swindling, etc. in the trollbox. This does not mean we want moderators who pedantically issue bans according to arbitrary guidelines(and sometimes even issue bans for rules that are not listed!).

Some examples of unfair bans/threats of being banned in trollbox:
Bans for not speaking English- Some of Poloniex's rules are no bigotry, no racism, and no ethnic intolerance. Being banned for not speaking English breaks all of those rules  
Bans for using CAPS- This is a trollbox, if you can't handle CAPS, you can't handle the internet. Coin tickers are in CAPS, and people have been threatened with a ban for using them. Do these bans accomplish anything other than to annoy Poloniex customers?
Bans when a mod doesn't like your "attitude" or language- Trollbox is for the sites customers, not making the mods feel better about their lonely existence. Busoni has implemented a swear filter and it works, so mods please spare us your powertrip.

This list is just a small portion of questionable moderation, but I have witnessed too much foolishness to type it all. Today I was asking a question in the Poloniex troll box, and I used Caps on two words in my sentences.

"Tom Cruise, Will you DO a Dangerous STUNT for Me?"

 The moderator warned me to not use CAPS at all, and I told the mod

"Cooldude, please shush."

and I got banned....

LOL yea! Poloniex's trollbox mods are like lazy school teachers compared to BTC-e's trollbox mods...there's at least 20 of them waiting for the chance to ban anyone for the slightest mistake.

Thanks for your input! The mods may seem fine to you, they have left me alone as well. But, it is not all about us. They have been over the top with many users. I hate to see other users be disrespected by the mods, and worried that this behaviour will turn new users off to Poloniex

BTC-E's trollbox was one of the reasons why I joined Poloniex  . I don't think BTC-E is a good model for Poloniex to follow as BTC-E is one of the least respected trading platforms in crypto. With Polo's low volume I can see many users who came for trollbox taking their coins to Mintpal, we don't want that.

This is not about me, it is about Poloniex driving away new users. I want to see Poloniex become a successful exchange with lots of volume, not one with nearly 40k registered users and only 1200 active. It seems like traders are flocking to mintpal.

I agree, having no trollbox would be better than having one that is used as a platform to insult, disrespect, and enforce silly "rules" to its user-base by lonely busy-body moderators who would otherwise be unemployed because they lack any real useful skills.

OK so first off all CAPS is the most annoying thing you can do in a troll box. I cant stand it you understand that on the "internet" all caps is considered yelling. It also takes up a ton of the screen and it is always 100% bullshit being spewed. Im sorry they dont let you troll like as hard as you would like. I am in the polo box all the time and they actually let you guys get away with way more than i like. You are almost as bad as GrounBEEEEFTaxi and everyone but you in the troll box thought your name changes was both funny and appropriate. Stop crying please and wasting everyone's time.

About the English only Polo does not have Mods that can speak every language you push for equality in this front but as soon as it is achieved ( they allow all languages) you will push for mods that speak those languages because it is not fair that only English speakers get moderated sound about right so go cry under a bridge please troll

Thank you for your opinion. I'm not crying, just offering a forum for users of Poloniex who have had bad experiences with moderation.

Edit: It looks like grndnpnd edited his comment after I responded. What is your obsession about crying? Is this something you do a lot? It must be, since you reference it so much. I put up a coherent post, and all you offer is semi-coherent insults. For someone who claims to speak English, your English isn't very good. Better be careful or you might get banned for not speaking it. You also seem really uptight and annoyed very easily by silly things. If your time is being wasted you do not have to respond here. I'm not suggesting having no moderators or no rules, just to ease up on the moderation for everyone's enjoyment. I understand most of crypto is filled with losers and you were probably picked on at school, and your greatest fear is getting picked on in the trollbox, so you need moderators to coddle you.
