Pretty cool stuff. Nice to see a mining algo that doesn't give guys with Riga all the coins. Is there a mining pool setup for this?

Someone is working on that, it should be up within a week or so.

lol damn internet doesn't forget my failure at the english language.
also, what the shit happened to 1.6 GB of ram required? 15 just pretty well shot this in the ass again.
Yes, you are right, 15GB is too much, one need to have at least 3 sticks of 8 GB to mine 1.6, or even as high as 8GB is good. 15 GB wasn't a random value chosen, if someone wants to mine with their computer which has 16 GB, the OS alone takes less than 1 GB and can mine. For botnetters -- it would generally require a computer with more than 16 GB RAM because the victim's computers have stuff running on them and only 16 GB RAM wouldn't be enough. There aren't many botnetted computers with more than 16 GB RAM.

do we need 16 gb ram to run the wallet? or is 16 gb only if we are mining?

Your grammar is quite suspect so I'm hoping English is your second language. The coin seems to have a new algorithm called ramhog. If you speak English why don't you read the whitepaper.

For both, but there will be a block explorer and web wallet posted sometime today or tomorrow which will work without the RAM requirements. The RAM requirements were quite necessary to keep the botnets and specialized hardware from mining.

Right know it means I have to shut down everything to run a program only suitable for amazon EC2 (I quote Christian Buchner) That's kind of silly. So may-be you will get rid of botnet, but in the mean time you make it impossible to run for people using their cpu for other task (I am pretty sure this include GPU miners) So technically this is reserved to even more specialised computers... (and won't run on many windows install) At least you won't get any complaint while people try to run it as any web explorer use large amounts of memory

No matter what it will be difficult 5 min before the launch... And once all the amazon machine will be running it will be too late.

ok best move is dev having a reality check and relaunch with more humble memory requirement.

I have just released the config file with the genesis block and the initial nodes. The coin is now LAUNCHED. I will add nodes to the config file as more people connect. Good luck everybody!
