I recently finished building Bourbon, a dice game script.

http://puu.sh/9yqoO/03956891a4.png

Demo

Main site: http://demo.getbourbon.net
Admin: http://demo.getbourbon.net/admin

Features

1. Works with any Bitcoin-derived cryptocurrency. That includes BTC, LTC, DOGE, whatever.

2. Martingale botting. Built right into the betting box & works flawlessly.

3.  Integrated chat system that doesn't look like shit.

4. Original site design. It looks pretty decent IMO and isn't derived from PrimeDice.

5. Site statistics & admin dashboard. You'll be able to deposit funds, withdraw profits, view players & bets, and generally run the site without a programmer.

6. A truly "provably fair" system. Users won't be able to accuse you of not being truly provably fair.

Purchase

I am currently selling Bourbon for 0.5 BTC. To buy the script, send bitcoins to:

1J2P8qTvyY46qRdvfnJ2HSoManZ65kWPsv

and then PM me or email me at irwin@getbourbon.net.

Installation & Support

Bourbon is written in Python using web.py and tornado. In other words, it's not a PHP/MySQL script, so there is some work involved in the installation.

The script will include instructions & an installation script to make things easy. Bourbon officially supports Linux distributions derived from Arch Linux & Debian (which includes Ubuntu, Mint, etc.). I also offer the free service of installing it on your server for you as long as your server runs one of the aforementioned distributions.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Oops, pushed wrong version to site. Updated to work on Chrome (before there was a glitch rendering the game unplayable).

Those aren't links; it's a table header. Or are you expecting it to be sortable? Kind of a weird UX when bets are constantly coming in (I'd imagine it'd be best to keep it sorted by time).

On the admin screen | players screen if I click the "next" button at the bottom I get an error msg-interal server error.  I'm also using safari on an iPad and the roll button on the main page does not work.  I will try on another browser since this is very interesting.

Wow, that is slightly embarrassing.

Both issues should be fixed; please let me know if anything else happens.

Update: when you go on the site, it shows the last 25 bets so the page isn't empty, and starts showing you players' bets in real time even before you're logged in.

Wow, kl, you clever user.

Just added checks so sneaky people can't bet negative amounts.

(That's not a problem in the real version; it's just that in the demo I wrote a database app to simulate account balances.)

Also, fixed icons so they don't look like shit.

Any thoughts on the pricing? CoinDice sells for 1.1 BTC & I feel the quality of my work is certainly above 91% the quality of theirs. That being said, if people deem my script too cheap or expensive, I'd like to know.

Specifically, what would you pay for Bourbon?

Hello. Still waiting for you to reply to my PM. Please reply.

Just responded. (Well, I have a message written, but it'll take another six minutes before BitcoinTalk lets me send it.)

I think realistically you won't get to many sales at 1BTC, if you priced at .5BTC or even .25BTC you would get many more customers. I wouldn't charge less than .25BTC though.

Overall I think you would end up making more money, as you might get less per sale but you will get more sales.

Site looks really good, doesn't appear to be a copy of anyone elses script (given I don't frequent that many dice sites) which is a fresh change Smiley

Hm, that's a pretty good idea. I'm trying to figure out how many people bought CoinDice. Do you know if dice scripts are sold a lot around here, which ones are the most popular, and how much they sold for?

Hello,

Good job with the script. Its a nice addition to all the other things that are selling out there.
I agree with Acoins perspective about selling it cheaper for a larger number of customers. I think at today's rate 0.5 Btc is a good price.
I think people would be able to recover that in a month if done properly.
Wish you good luck.

Regards

Duke

I agree with the 0.5BTC rate, you will get a lot more sales instead of none at all

Ps. I noticed a bug in the demo with the chat box, if you keep pressing enter with a blank message it just spams the box with the username

Okay, thanks for the feedback guys. The 1.0 BTC was really just a neat number. I'll try 0.5 BTC for a while and see how it goes.

Additional thanks to x8008 for the heads-up; fixed.

Sorry about that everyone.

I've investigated the problem and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a problem with the source code or Bitcoin handling code. It seems to be something stupid I did with the database that let someone change their balance. This won't be a problem with the real version as the Bitcoin daemon as built-in checks against this kind of thing.

I've fixed the problem with blank usernames.

The site should also be back up.

I apologize for the fuck-ups; by software standards, we're still in the alpha stage of testing (hence why I released a demo first) and I'm happy we're catching the bugs now rather than later.

I've noticed that it looks like usernames are trimmed of spaces on the beginning and end of the string. This means that " user " would show up as "user" and "   " would show up as "" which we already know is causing a problem with the table.
While I think this is a very nice setup (although in need of work) it is not ready for sale and you probably shouldn't take any orders yet.
I'll do my best to help out, though. Wink

Edit - betting less than 0.000001 simply doesn't do anything. Tongue
