So I have been saving up for a while to get a btc miner. I am debating between an s2 or 1t dragon miner. I havent seen any direct comparison. Do any of you guys/girls have both. Does one overclock better than the other? I believe power draw is a bit lower on the dragon miner.

Any opinions are very welcome

Thanks

Steve

I have 2 of the S2 units and 4 on the way. So I really like the quality of my S2, solid case, easy setup and just gets the job done. I can't help thinking the way they built this thing with 10 cards all in one power board, there going to be releasing upgraded cards so you can make your box hash faster.

Just my guess. I don't own a dragon miner, but when I read about it and look at the pics, it looks cheap.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, It does help I am just being super careful because I will have to talk the wife into letting me buy one lol. I really don't want to get in trouble for noise or heat.  I do like that its potentially upgrade able to s3 standard. Hopefully it will be affordable enough to be worthwile.

Dragonminers have virtually no support (at least from the developer/engineering side). The source code for their modifications to cgminer isn't even released, so don't expect anyone from the community to be able to step up and fix/improve it either.

DragonMiners are hit or miss quality wise. I have not yet taken delivery of one that does a solid 1TH/s Sad

Can't say enough good things about the S2's.
