I sent some coins to one wallet. But when i check my transaction history the wallet address i sent to is different then the one i entered for the transaction why?

Did you check at https://blockexplorer.com/ ?  You can enter the address there and see what happened.

Are you certain that isn't the address you entered?

Are you certain that is the address it sent to?

I am new at this bit coin thing. I just figured out why it is different. Has to do with the company i an dealing with i copied and pasted the wallet address from there site and when i went back it had a different wallet showing. It all depends on who is online and taking orders, the next persons wallet shows up and changes to the next with every order. So i got confused when it looked different then the one posted on there site. Thanks for the link though.

Hi welcome to bitcoin Smiley,

generally is recommended new address for each transaction, for security reasons and also for clarity (better overview of all your transactions)
you can put comment to that address ( e.g. seller put in your nick), so he knows who sent it ( this address is know to him and you only )
