Greetings gentlemen,

This is the thread about monero.crypto-pool.fr, a large Monero mining pool that aim to the most effective pool for mining Monero.
It is based on the open source node-cryptonote-pool by zone117x and LucasJones and improved by the pool admin.
I am in charge of the support and communication.

The features are the same than most Monero mining pool except :

High Efficiency
Being more optimized than standard pools allow us to find more blocks than average and give better payout to miners. The Pool Efficiency is displayed on the main page.
Ultra Stability
Connection is stabilized through multiple instances of bitmonerod process that can auto-restart without interrupting mining.
Advanced Payment System
You know exactly what's going on, how much is left to pay and what has been paid. We also keep track of all payments to ensure we paid everyone.
Core Devs Donation
monero.crypto-pool.fr donnate 10% of our earnings for core devs. Fees will be taken from the 2% pool fees and not from miners.

/!\Some of the links under are outdated, please refer to the main Monero thread for updated informations.

Links & quick tutorials

If you are a total noob, please go there and read.

WALLET

Use the official web wallet if you don't want to bother with command-lines : https://mymonero.com/#/
Check the Monero thread for the latest updates and ask specific questions about the wallet.
Check the Monero GUI thread for the latest updates and ask specific questions about the GUI wallet. The latest GUI wallet I know can be found here.

Always backup

MINE WITH CPU

Check the Wolf's CPUMiner thread for the latest updates and ask specific questions about the CPU miner.
Download and extract the miner files somewhere. I recommend having all the monero files in the same folder.
Create a batch file or a command line to use in command prompt.
The command is :
C:\path_to_minerd\minerd.exe -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://xmr.crypto-pool.fr:6666 -u your_monero_address

Most of the time you need "C:\path_to_minerd\minerd.exe" but sometimes just putting "minerd" is enough.

You can chose different port to mine at :
3333 for low end hardware
6666 for normal hardware
7777 for killer machine (be careful, if the pool get over 45% of the network, miners from this port may be redirected to smaller pool for network safety)
If you need a HTTP connection, please PM me.

your_monero_address need to be generated from your own wallet and not from an exchange

options :
-t 2 : mine with 2 threads
-R 1 : retry every second if connexion failed
-D : debug mode that display more informations
-h : display minerd help

MINE WITH GPU

Check the Claymore GPU Miner thread for the latest updates and ask specific questions about the ATI GPU miner.
Check the tsiv ccminer-cryptonight GIT for the latest release of the NVIDIA miner. The general ccMiner thread for questions is here.
Check this tutorial for updated links about NVIDIA GPU mining : [XMR] Tutorial: How to compile your mining software on Linux ?
Download and extract the miner files somewhere. I recommend having all the monero files in the same folder.
Create a batch file or a command line to use in command prompt.

The command for Claymore is :
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
C:\path_to_miner\NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://xmr.crypto-pool.fr:6666 -u your_monero_address -p x

The command for ccMiner is :
C:\path_to_miner\ccminer.exe -l 8x64 -o stratum+tcp://xmr.crypto-pool.fr:6666 -u your_monero_address -p x

Most of the time you need "C:\path_to_miner\NsGpuCNMiner.exe" but sometimes just putting "NsGpuCNMiner" is enough.

Upcoming plans

Relaunch the pool and become number one.

20/06/2014 thread created
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hi everyone,

I made a separate thread for everything that concern monero.crypto-pool.fr

[ANN][XMR] monero.crypto-pool.fr | Large Monero Mining Pool

I have now attempted to send about 80% of the contents of my wallet to a different address.  The "not_enough_outs_to_mix" mix error no longer appears in the log, however, the funds never make it out.  Following the send command, the log shows the following error:
THROW EXCEPTION: error::tx_too_big
2014-Jun-19 22:30:59.303680 c:\temp\monero\git-experimental\bitmonero-0.8.8update-x64\src\wallet\wallet2.h:415:struct tools::error::tx_too_big: transaction is too big, tx_size_limit = 24400, tx size = 60174
If anyone has any ideas as to what's up, do shed some light on this.  Appreciate everyone's time.  Thanks all.
Edit: Played around with the amount being sent and found that if I send just over half of the coins in my wallet, the size limit error goes away.  The transaction still fails however, as per the deamon returning a "Failed" status.  I'll keep digging; thanks for looking everyone.

Do a backup of your 3 wallet files in a separate folder.
Delete the wallet.bin and reopen the wallet to re-check all incoming transactions.

Be sure that you have the latest monero wallet from the main thread.
Do a backup (copy) of the 3 wallet files in a separate folder.
Go back to your main monero folder and delete the wallet.bin file (keep the 2 others).
Launch the wallet program. It will reload all transactions since the start.

If your XMR doesn't appear at this point, send me a PM with the exact amount of missing XMR and your address.

Just to be sure, you must launch both bitmonerod.exe (client) and simplewallet.exe (wallet) at the same time.

I'm trying now, but nothing to do  Roll Eyes

Did it refresh the transactions ? Did you see the log with all incoming TX ?
Could you try to send yourself some XMR from a wallet to an other ?

You have to know that the payout is every 10 blocks.
Do you have the problem recently or it's been over a week ?

Great, try the solution I posted above if the wallet is stuck.

Payouts delayed ?

Payouts every 10 blocks instead of 1.
It reduce dust TX and increase gain for small miners.

I have been mining for 4 days on your pool.
It seems to be something else.

5000h/s at a very low 8 coins a day estimation again doesnt add up for the last 24h

Be careful if you are using the GPU miner, it seems that the displayed hashrate in the miner is not correct.

Send me you address by PM, I'll check your hashrate and gain.

Also there will be a big update soon for monero.crypto-pool.fr to solve a problem that is common in every pool.
When this feature will be operational, you'll probably see a nice increase in your XMR gain.

I seem to have found the problem, undervolting caused the miner to show the same hashrate but pool showed it lower.

I have set GPU stock voltages and everything seems to be ok again.

Sorry about the trouble.

Ok, it's good that you found out the problem.
The hashrate in the GPU miner is often wrong.

Small announcement :
duck.crypto-pool.fr that we manage has all improvement available from monero.crypto-pool.fr, so if you want to mine some duckNotes for fun on a good pool, don't hesitate.

Thanks everyone for your trust and support.

monero.crypto-pool.fr is now really really big but I have to remind you that a pool that own over 51% of the network is not a good thing.
Nothing wrong is going to happen as long as it is in our hands but it is bad for the reputation of XMR.
People will criticize the fact that the network is not enough decentralized and it may affect the price of XMR.
Few hours ago, we've been redirecting some of the hash to an other pool but the pool we were redirecting to couldn't handle the hashrate.

I will ask you to spread the hash between pools when you see a pool with over 51% of the hashrate.
We have the capacity to handle more than 51% but this would be food for trolls.

Thanks again.
