Hello. I am a new user here, as you can probably see. I stumbled upon a person here, mentioning signature renting as a way to earn bitcoin. Can a completely new user to the forum, like me, rent his signature?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Nope. Newbies can't have links in their signatures and are excluded from most deals. You need to become a Member to participate in most.

Edit: Actually, tell a little lie. There is one but you don't get paid much. You can see a list of deals here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

There are 2 campaignes which accept newbies to join. Go to marketplace-services and search 777coin campaign and one more which has in title that accept newbies. You won`t earn much but it is ok to start and learn about bitcoin transactions and for better paid jobs in future.

Well, getting member status is quite easy and fast. I got to a member status in like a week or so.

Actually, it requires an activity of 60. The maximum you can get in a two-weeks period is 14, so it would take at least two month to become a member by posting at least once daily.

if you could make more than the person selling, I doubt they would be selling. unless they were really lazy which is possible hehe maybe investigate further.

until recently, there was nothing for newbies and jr members. there are now 1 or 2 options. but they are very low paying.

I'd imagine anyone who's a newbie that doesn't have the know how, or knowledge or doesn't have the money to invest in some high speed asic or whatever should definitely look into any kind of sig campaign, but it does take a lot of work. Even if it's not worth it, a little BTC is worth it in the end. Try looking around for some kind of campaign or look into selling some services/goods. A week or so back a guy was paying 0.001 (??) btc for writing reviews about a website. Even just doing little jobs you can earn btc quick if that's your plan.

Or you could always invest tiny amounts of money into it.

What else could I say?

0.001 for a review sounds like a lot of work. so are sig campaigns, but the pay seems better... Smiley

Well to be fair it was only a 3 sentence review, it wasn't like 3 pages of colorful metaphors and what not. It paid in the end and that's all I was looking for, signature campaigns are nice but people have to hop on them early otherwise you aren't going to get a spot. I was lucky to find FXO when I did, because I think at the time he was just about full.

I'd just advise going through any method you can to find a way to earn some BTC and if you can do it. Right now I'm trying to make a little extra money through various online method to just buy a little bit of bitcoin.

What else could I say?

Signature renting does seem to require almost no effort. This is still better than visiting 50+ faucets a day and getting almost nothing.

Do faucets even still exist? I haven't seen anything about faucets in a long time, and I don't know if they are even worth it tbh. Also, not freebitco.in or whatever.

Sure, it takes no effort if this is what you'd be doing anyway. I'd say that is true for myself. For some people, I get the impression that it is a job of sorts.

They most certainly exist, but they are pretty much worthless. Had more free time during the last 2 days, I think I spent at least 5 hours a day browsing about 50 faucets. I've managed to accumulate 0.0002BTC in Microwallet, 000006BTC in BitChest, some really tiny amount in Coinbox and 0.0007BTC in freebitco.in during about 2 months with a couple of daily spins.

Okay, that answers my question. So they have gotten significantly worse -- not just based on bitcoin's rise against USD. Good to know. I guess the golden days of faucets are truly over. Undecided

You're not going to find any sig campaigns worth your time right out of the gate.  Even a regular member can only get .0004 per post from PD right now.  It's a whole different story once you've been around for a while, though Wink
