thisCritical Flaw found in Bitcoinica platform Posted by pstrateman on February 23, 2012
There is a significant vulnerability in Bitcoinica.
Strongly advise withdrawing funds.
I don't take it seriously. anyone ?

I would like to apologize for being suspicious about Intersango's blog post. Maybe I did take the warning seriously, but didn't want to scare bitcoinica users (which I may have done btw)
I did a few research since then, and Intersango is obviously a major and respected actor in the Bitcoin world, and any warning should be taken seriously. So Patrick, all apologies, I just don't seem to be ready on losing that n00b label I -always- get on forums :p
Peace

Interesting to have seen more than one of these posts from Intersango.
Seems that letting the owners of other sites know before making public announcements would be the way to go.

Looks like we got a badass on our hands, but seriously, you have to admit posting on one site that another is vulnerable is pretty suspect

When Intersango reported on BTC-e (and BTC-e accused them of hacking their site) I wasn't really very impressed with how it was handled on either side.
Now that I've seen this twice from Intersango, I find it to be a disturbing enough pattern to shy away from them, and have moved my funds from my account there.
I also found it kind of disturbing that the Intersango site doesn't appear to have a logout button, nor does it timeout EVER. This is a serious security risk IMO.
