Don't piss on Quran. Piss on those radical Salafist and Wahabbi clerics who misinterpret Quran to kill non-Muslims. But at the same time, you shouldn't overlook the fact that for the past many decades, the Western World has helped the radical Muslims to snatch power from their more moderate colleagues (examples: Syria, Egypt.etc).

I think we should respect what is considered holy by others and they also would respect us. Those extremist / radicals was born because also of Western actions. USA trained and equipped Al queda, radicalized them to the core. USA supported Saudi Arabia which finance those Madrassas around the world which teaches extremist ideology. USA remove Iran elected president and replace by a shah. USA killed thousands in Middle East. Those drones bombing Afghanistan and Pakistan everyday killing untold number killing many civilians.

I'm not in every way like those extremist. My point why not just leave them alone. Let them fight each other if they like it. Let them live the way they like as long as they don't harm us.
