Im thinking of making a new bitcoin game site. I previously have made a lotto site, and bittleships.com

The idea of this one would be to play games such as checkers, chess, battleships etc. For example, a player joins a 0.1btc game of checkers, the winner wins 0.2btc. You join the games with different costs as you wish.

My second idea, would be to create a new type of gaming site, where each user that joins deposits 0.01btc. They then play head to head games with other users, but you must use your entire balance each time, so every time you win, you double your balance. With enough players, you could win ALOT of btc?

opinions?

Just have a semi-dedicated sitting idle, no idea what to do with it.

Heh, didn't mean to discourage you, just to let you know there is competition for the chess game.  There's no checkers.

For head-to-head, even something like pong would probably get used.

But since you are talking about monetary gain to the winner, expect bots!

I've been thinking about something like this for a while.. problem with money and games like this is that people are attracted to exploit them with bots, so thats thing to keep in mind.

games of skill seem much more attractive to me then games of luck

any sort of exe ran on your computer could be used to steal your wallet and your bitcoins. wouldnt be supprised if thats what he attempted to do?

im stuck trying to think of games.  checkers is a good one but it is possible to put a bot on it.

Make it Arimaa. It's a game explicitly designed to be more difficult for AIs than it is for humans.

yeah "go" is for example one of the more known ones that is hard for computers. but also, while possibility of bots does eliminate some of the games immediately, it isn't a huge problem but a thing to keep in mind.

if its a custom and complexish game, with partial information or such, it becomes increasingly difficult to write a human competitive ai for it, and people capable of doing so pby have better ways of earning money. and this is combined with site owners actively banning bots.
