Current State of Anonymity in Alternate Cryptocurrencies

Anonymity is one feature that alt coins could have the would distinguish them from Bitcoin. Several alt coins are looking to add anonymity. At what stage is anonymity in these alt coins? Which alt coin has the best anonymity implementation and why?

Right now the most serious coins about anonymity are the cryptonote coins like Monero. Check them and ask there about anonymity...

Fantomcoin is cryptonote like Monero, but Fantomcoin also offers merged mining.

As far as I know The CryptoNote coins have anonymity built in to them.

And then there is CryptCoin which is supposed to have it's anon feature release very soon. Not sure on the exact details but a lot of people seem to be talking about it on some of the troll box chats.
