Oh my god, it's rare nowadays to see a such premined coin There are 2 reasons for the premine. First we need collateral to offer businesses to accept titcoin payments. A huge chunk of the premine will go to paying them off. The second is to creat market stability. For at least the first month we will be majority shareholders. Since we are not planning to dump the coins, it should stabilize the value over a period of time. Similar to stocks. The small premine was described in the prelaunch post, this morning we also opened up a premine for early supporters, which is everyone who was on the mailing list at 6pm this morning. All one had to do was to subscribe on our mailing list which was to thank our forum supporters on bitcointalk, cryptocointalk, facebook and twitter. This was all explained in the pre-launch post on several forums, the twitter and the facebook page. i'm out``` IDK, what if they really made those connections with XXX industry? This could be huge. The coin is mining well. The proposed business model is what I find an attractive proposition. The Vice article proposes a plan that I find credible. If they move on this quickly they could easily beat bitcoin to the punch. After all there are numerous epayments systems, accepted by various vendors. We will see who can conquer this market which is tech savvy first.

Thank you for the confidence, obviously the next two points on our roadmap are:- Get the coin accepted on an exchange.
- Get back to all businesses we've been talking to. Note that we are not focusing on small businesses now since these will not generate enough interest in the coin. We are looking to get a partnership with a major company, this is the main reason for the premine.

In your current wallet, under the File menu, the first option is Backup. Save that file someplace safe. Technically if you just replace your old wallet with your new wallet, you won't even be touching your existing .dat file. But it's better to be safe than sorry. As for the 2 main fork updates, Digishield is meant to prevent the difficulty spike we saw during the July retarget which caused Titcoin transactions to grind to a snails pace over the last month. It will give a more accurate difficulty score based on current network hashrate so blocks will be found at a steady pace. This will also prevent multi-pools from slamming into Titcoin pushing the difficulty up before they jump out. The block/time was also reduced. Long story short, merchant transactions were timing out which made us realize in order for Titcoin to be a true transactional currency, we need to speed this up. A stripper getting a Titcoin donation shouldn't have to wait 30 mins. This update drops the time to wait for a transaction to around 5 mins which is much more reasonable... especially for in person POS transactions. The obvious drawback is it does mean more blocks will be found going forward. In theory, that may lead to a drop in per/coin price going forward. However, we believe the current price is artificially low anyways. Over the last 50 days when hardly any blocks were being found, the price should've skyrocketed due to low supply... but it didn't. The current price is purely based off speculation, and once we have sites accepting Titcoin, it will be easier to measure the true value. But the good news in all of this is if you're a dedicated Titcoin miner, you will be earning much more Titcoins going forward. So any decrease in price will be offset by the fact that you'll have much more Titcoins in your wallet. Ideally this will be the only fork we do (at least for a long time). We're in this for the long haul and want to smartly put all the pieces together to create a stable currency going forward. Thanks for being patient during our growing pains. |

The reason for the rise is this announcement:

well it looked strange , however I think we have to keep in mind that this coin was already around since january , if they would have wanted to they could have done this scam much earlier in times when crypto was not as paranoid about scams as it is now , we also know the devs identity since a long time.
they could actually have the deal since they also managed to get hustlers magazine on board which is already a big step , also it would get pretty embarassing for the dev when he has his speach on friday in front of tons of people and has to say we have a great reliable coin ... and scammed everyone buying it , with potential holders even in the audience.
if it is a scam the devs would need to be on board for it to work which i think is unlikely , I bought a bit because of the great potential roi but decide for yourself.

We have been working for almost a year now on this coin and are still doing all we possibly can. I can hardly imagine that scammers put that kind of effort in a coin. With Titcoin we have always aimed for a long term commitment, I believe that the articles we published over the year, the fact that the identities of our main developers are known, the amount of time we announced it before we released it and the conferences we attended confirm that. We invested a significant amount of time and money in Titcoin. The advice that is often given when in doubt about a coin is to read up on forums, check it's course, talk to the team and simply judge on the specs, how open they are, their marketing strategy and how determined they are. If would give the same advice about Titcoin, read up, follow us and you can easily see that we are serious about this and are not here for a pump and dump. Ok, so the Guccione deal officially fell through. Since the result of the Flynt meeting (a month ago) hasn't been reported on, we can safely assume it was also unsuccessful. I believe TIT would have a better chance of success being accepted by smaller, hungrier enterprises. Once TIT becomes more established and valuable the big guys might be more likely to accept it.

I've never really followed Coyote's drama with pot and doge, I do find his spamming annoying, but here is my take from a neutral outsider. Everyone is running around with claims he stole money from POT and DOGE, if that is the case, why didn't anyone file police reports? Pump and dumps in crypto may be a legal grey area but outright theft is theft. Are crypto nerds so dweebish they refuse to go get their money back or justice? To me it sounds like alot of whining on the internet from groups who have an agenda just as Patrick does.
I know if a guy stole a few thousand in coins from me and I knew his name and where he lived I'd go to the local police station and have his ass jailed. Having proof of digital transactions is even better because it creates a record.
That said, he "could" be lying about a multi-million dollar investment coming in but then again people would have called him a liar a month ago if he said a Playboy and Cosmo article was coming or that the dev for TIT would be hanging out with the CEO of Hustler and Nick Guccione.
Is Coyote shady? Probably. But guess what, the porn industry itself is shady, so perhaps they are made for each other. If you have a problem with Coyote's ethics, you have no business investing in a XXX currency either. I personally monitor results, not actions, and frankly the results the team has accomplished in getting the word out to mainstream publications and investors is phenomenal. If you really honestly believe they spent all these months of work, flew all around the world and secured media and meetings with all these VIPs just to go dump some coins at 3k satoshi, well I think you're the delusional one. This coin was a strange pump, wasn't it? Who would announce an entry point at 1100 sats when it sat at 650-700 sats for many days before it was announced? I think it looks like someone picked up on the momentum of the smaller pump that carried it from 700-2700 sats (and back to 700), and turned it into much bigger one a day or so later. Maybe they didn't expect it to be spiked before their own announcement. If you have the contacts to do so, it's not hard to get a few small bits from mainstream press (esp. their online properties which get the throwaway stories that would never make it to print) if there's even a shred of a story to be sold that can help fill their pipes with content.
Professional copywriters can bang out an 'article' like that playboy story in 90 minutes flat, including research. The other announcements are little more than tweets and generic re-hashing of the same information.

If you have been following Kinky Pool on twitter you will be aware that KinkyPool is about to re-launch with a brand new website, and a new more powerful server.

It is only the stratum address you need to alter, as the pool is a nomp type pool so your wallet address is your username and anything can be used as a password just as before.
Both the new pool and the current pool are running, but the current one will cease sometime after Sunday.
Once the new pool is launched, and the old one shut down the kinkypool.com name will be moved to the new server and you can then either continue on the IP address or use the domain name ie stratum+tcp://kinkypool.com:3033 for Titcoin.
