How do bitcoins work exactly?
Best explanation here.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

Sorry, but this is the only way I can post a message...since I don't see any 'start new message' button or anything.  Is it because I'm using Chrome?

Anyway...I remember bitcoin from years back.  I think there's a chance I may have opened an account, or bought some (?)  How would I go about finding out?

Thanx for any help

As for finding your old wallet, it might be tough. Even if you find it it might be encrypted.

Try searching your hard drive for a wallet.dat file.

Do you remember when you may have bought the bitcoin and how you pay for it?
It may give us some hints about the exchange you used.

I suggest reading the bitcoin wiki page like everyone else suggested and also join reddit and become apart of the community, check back everyday, comment with people and try to learn something new. BTC is fun and exciting, dont be scared of it!
