I've been thinking about this a lot lately since I'll be travelling abroad later this summer in Spain and was wondering a few things:
1.How can I use my BTC wallet to pay for things in a real shop (not online),e.g If I wanted to buy a coffee, nice food or souvenirs how can I go about this?
2.Is it worth ditching travel money (Euros) in favour of using just BTC from my phone's wallet (since it has contactless payments for both real money/BTC/LTC/DOGE) with the expectation that BTC will grow in popularity in countries that have more favourable regulations towards BTC vs countries like UK/US which seem to focus on restricting the use of BTC?Or am I asking too much for now?
3.How can I find out which shops accept BTC in real life in Spain? Is there an online directory or am I having to just hope that they support it.
4.I've always wondered about changing all my contactless phone payments from normal payments (with GBP/EUR in my case) to just paying in BTC/LTC/DOGE for a week on the basis that I can get a lot of good material for a future film project I plan to make as an experiment on how virtual currencies are changing the world in real life (apart from how great the technology is/idealism behind it as real use applications make or break ideas) as I was previously too reluctant to even use BTC on the basis that I can easily lose money (due to lack of understanding of wallet security on my phone).

Since I wasn't sure about whether or not this experiment should even be attempted, let alone embraced,I thought I ask the community for thoughts and advice first. Smiley

Don't trade off your travel money in exchange for BTC.  You will have a hard time getting everything you need with only BTC.

Keep some and when you do find b&m shops that accept it, patronize them and enjoy it. Then suggest it to other places you may choose to shop at.
