Greetings,

Been mining on 3 cards since July last year-
Originally started out thinking this was all a bubble, and decided to take advantage of it anyway.  Funny thing though: somewhere along the line I became a believer.  Have lurked heavily on the forums (foolishly not while logged in).  Yay Bitcoin!

Thanks.

Hey there! you the first person whom i've Actually believed them when they say "i've been here for awhile without an account"

So where do you Mine?
Personally as a selfproclaimed older member of this forum, I would advise you (This is Purely personal opinion and as such you should treat it like so) to Mine to P2Pool or BTCguild, Both are Fee Free and i only say this because at this moment, Deepbit current has 39% of all bitcoin hashing power directed at them, It starts to become dangerous if it reaches 48% and it's Possibly Lethal (suicide,ha) if it reaches 52%, If any pool reaches 52% for that matter. So it's best to keep the hashrate power nice and "even"

I reccomended P2Pool and BTCguild for these respective reasons
P2Pool is literally Person to Person mining, Zero fees, People donate into it, Its AWESOME and should be put into Bitcoin as the default mining operation, Compleatly decentralised

BTCguild: Great place! multiple different servers for you to aim at to get the best possible ping to help give you the best possible mining outcome, They run off of donations and support Merged Mining, While i personally HATE all altcurrencies because i believe they devalue btc, BTCguild has the nice ability to Turn off the NMCoin mining

Logical reasons as to NOT mine on deepbit: 3%fee, One man controls it (just like btcguild, one man owning a pool is nothing new) and uh.... It's big? lol.

Hi JackRabiit,

I've tried pretty much every pool out there at some point.  I've found 1 block for myself, a block for ozcoin, one for slush, and some others.  BTCGuild is great, I like mtred too.  I haven't tried P2Pool, but I should seems like a fantastic idea.  I usually have eligius set as my backup.

To everyone: I wasn't paying attention and didn't notice the sticky where you should introduce yourself.  Apologies.
