Hello everyone,
i downloaded the GCN wallet, and i have just started investing in Gcoin. but i need to move my inestiment into a paper wallet. how do i do that please?
can anybody help?
The only safe place for your currency is on an offline windows wallet with at least three backups of the wallet.dat file. You can download a wallet on a pc and install your client and generate the new address. I don't think exist a paper wallet generator for GCoin.. |

You can create your own paper wallet. You need to do a dumpprivkey from the console of your wallet. It will give you your private key and you keep that. If you want to spend your GCN at a later time, you will have to reinstall your wallet, fully sync it and then you have to import the private key. Again you go to console and you do a importprivkey. It will take a lot of time and the coins will be in your online wallet. Instructions are similar to these https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5614/using-dumpprivkey-to-make-a-paper-backupBefore you do that with all of your coins, give it a try with lets say 100GCN to see how it works. Create a new GCN address, send 100GCN and try the dumpprivkey. Then send them back with importprivkey. If everything is OK, you are good to go with the other address. |
