This coin looks great and the distribution model and all but it just needs more promotion and more miners.

We're trying any idea's as we think of them. Any new idea's are very welcome.
Maybe get someone to write article on some chinese group

This is still very new but I have some suggestions:

1. Small charities - do good with GCN, donate to people in need.
2. GCN market places. Find people that are willing to sell their stuff for GCN. Even build an online shop.
3. T-Shirts. "I LOVE Gs" for instance payable with GCN.
4. Precious Metals.

ALL of the above have a prerequisite: Exchange value of GCN/BTC. No matter how big / small that is, you need this.

Thanks, these are all good idea's.

I think number 2 is particularly good. Having some form of exit mechanism really brings everything
full circle. Organizing some buyers to put with sellers would be great ok.

We're very hopeful that having enough non tech non mining guys using GCN on mobiles it will stand a much stronger
chance of becoming more mainstream.

We have quite a few users on the slots from Asia ok. Seems to be catching on a good bit there.
The users I spoke to there mostly only have a very limited understanding of actual mining of coin.
They fully understand that the hope is it will increase to some degree in value like Bitcoin did.

This is true. But then, there's the network integrity maintenance. You need miners; no? One option is to remove individual mining -at all-. Keep sending away your coins via the app. Click and win; simple as that. You will handle the mining process, and that's based on the "Centralized" model that fiat money (and some cryptocurrencies like Ripple for instance) is now working. It's not perfect but you get rid of 51% attack and you are in charge of the flow. After the initial kick, you can change this.

Another option comes as BTC network runs. Pool mining, (your pool) via your mobile app. Who he comes first takes the biggest earnings etc. Well... decisions, decisions... Smiley

There's a lot of idea's there. I'd say there's over 100 miners at least. I'll sleep on all the new idea's from today Smiley

Hi Greg,
congratulations. Very good idea (Gambling).
I think the next step for you is to set up a better (browser) casino with poker, black jack, roulette.
Some years ago I made a conception for an advertising point system (get points on buying real things) with an iplementation
to a browsergame to buy ingame content. This market (ingame content) is going to the moon. I live in germany
and here (after a change in law) the community for farming games and simulators etc reaches giant sizes.
Tv broadcasters make real good money in advertising and running such games included the gambling sector.
So get you a more or less cheap clone of an browser/app game and host it, or get a connection to an existing platform (poker, farmville etc) and make them a good offer.
You have the advantage of getting real money with increasing value to the players.
The point is, if you start this you´re not addicted to coin exchanges because people start trading coins on other marketplaces (ebay etc)
and then the exchanges get interested in your coin.
So, enough text  Grin. Usually I sell ideas and concepts, but this little hints are free and I hope you get the most out of your project.
good luck and best

Ok, some problems from the iPad (web interface). When I tried to withdraw a big amount (ie: >3,000,000 coins) sometimes there was an error called "insufficient funds" and there's a perl module crash on the screen. It seems that this is OK now and withdrawals were resumed. Also, it seems the "Day limit" on android is not really 24hrs but more (some error with the timestamp?) I managed to transfer 999000 GCNs from my android game to the android wallet after 30hrs of the last transaction.

May I suggest some exchange options:
1. Crypsy (this exchange has pretty much everything there is - not a nice interface and lags are an everyday story, but it's a must)
2. MCXnow (I like this exchange. I trade my MAX there and it's all built from scratch on C++ which adds security)
3. Poloniex (I like their interface and stats. Pretty good user base too.)
4. Kraken (If you manage to get in there, I think we should call this coin "The Next DOGE")

PS: I now am a GCN multi-millionaire!  Grin

I use Crypsy myself so I've emailed them.

Hi Ratohe,
That's really good information. I was emailed by a guy who runs a Mine craft server who wanted to link up. I'm also talking to a programmer
about doing a poker game. One of the guys involved (Peter) is seeing about other revenues like adds. We're hoping we can get enough people
involved from outside the mining community that GCoin can be more mainstream. The hope is that people will use their mobile phones
to exchange the currency mostly. We had to do a browser game / wallet as the Apple apps doormen didn't like our runners Wink
I think by dtp you mean the poor layout of the www.gcoin.us site ?  That needs some work for sure.

Many thanks for the information and advice. Makes a lot of sense to me  Smiley

Hi,

I don't see your question on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/infogcoin. Anyway, I have the question now Smiley
The way it works is that all people mining are looking for that block. At the moment using a reasonably fast CPU (dual
core) you will probably get around one block per day. If you introduce a video card that will shoot up. Dual video card will get
better results again. There is no need for a mining pool yet. I do have one ready to go.

If you download the android app or play the browser slots you will get more coin too. Between both you can collect
plenty without spending your money on expensive ATI radeon cards.

Best
