GCoin won on AskCoin, but NOT our GCoin

This really sucks!  How did we all miss this before?! 

Was wondering when the first problem would surface with the dupe name, makes sense I guess it was with an exchange.

i think that the dev must explain the fact that our community has voted a winner coin that will be released early summer 2014 with the exchange owners.

Perhaps not yet!  Am hoping AskCoin made a mistake, especially after realizing the coin they have listed to add has not yet launched.  Hopefully we will have good news soon.

Well, the duplicate name issue was known and discussed on the first day of this announcement I believe.  Actually it was discussed that there were 2 other known coins with the same name of GCoin.  The one that AskCoin currently links to which is not yet launched and the one Google is in talks of releasing, also GCoin last I heard.  What we can say though, is we were technically the first:-)

I'm not sure what other problems this coin and community will face regarding the name, but am sure it will be worked out some how.

Not to worry, This is not Askcoins fault & I'm sure they will be more than happy to rectify the issue.

It is unfortunate that another coin is using the GCoin name. Our coin and infrastructure was done and

finished by the time we noticed so there is nothing we could do. The other party have no infrastructure

of any kind. Another bump in the road

that's about 9 times what I'm buying for now (if my calculations are correct).
I value it at what I can sell. If I sell $100 worth I increase what I can pay. If it's running
out I decrease. I couldn't pay out 9 times as much at the moment. It would cost a lot.
I'm sure it's going to be listed at a low price until we can promote the exchange to buyers.
We'll do our best there. There will be a huge amount of work before we can hopefully get some
nice BTC. We'll work towards that for sure.
