According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

CoinTree is most like CoinBase out of those 3. Thank you for the feedback on the design. User experience and security is our top priority and we try to remove the complexities of bitcoin and trading so users can focus on what they really want to do, buy and sell bitcoin.

Congrats on the new Australian venture

I trade 6 figure sums of btc and currently your spread is 3-4% after AUDUSD conversion

i.e 620 * ~0.94 = 580 USD with current spot @561 thats 19 USD price difference or ~ 3.5% +

Maybe my math is wrong but I am sorry I wont be using your service @ those rates Sad

Thanks for your reply, YipYip.

I imagine long term traders such as yourself already have a system in place for getting the absolute best rate. Among the Australian services, CoinTree offers the best bang for buck (source: comparebitcoins.net)

Do you buy straight from overseas?

Agreed ..for retail & fast service 3.5% is pretty good-ish Cheesy

TT to stamp using NAB can be a 8 hour turn around if placed @ 3PM on a business day etc

ANZ & OTHERS usually take 5 days Sad

I really like your site clean and simple

Will keep it in mind for emergency situations ... Cheesy

You can use the following url to see buy/sell price any time. These prices are the actual prices - we don't charge fees on top of these, unlike other Australian exchanges.

Its a bitcoin shop, not a real time exchange. Of course he is charging a fee for exchanging. Just like buying dollars from a local bank is more expensive than trading it on the market.

Bitcoin and Litecoin trading platform. Up to 100% deposit bonus. Fund with credit card. http://novafxtrading.com/bitcoin-trading

Yes, that's right. From the start, CoinTree was designed to lower the barrier of entry for purchasing bitcoin and part of that design was to not pair up users. It has allowed us to focus on streamlining the purchase process and provide a pleasant site to use.

Today we are introducing two new features to help our users to use bitcoin - auto top-up and pay bills.

Auto Top-Up
Never worry about being low on bitcoin ever again. Turn this setting on and your balance will be topped-up every time you use bitcoin. Easy!

Pay Bills
The new 'Pay Bill' page allows you to use bitcoin to settle any common Australian bill. Simply enter your bill details, hit 'Pay' and your bill will be paid with bitcoin! And as a bonus, there are no fees for using this and if auto top-up is turned on, your bitcoin balance will be topped-up straight away.

Our team loves these new features and we hope you do too. Find out more about these features in our Instant Demo at https://www.cointree.com.au/Secure/Demo
