In the world the rest of us live in, we all have finite willpower and it comes in fairly small doses too.

I wouldn't encourage that...it's just more begging.

No need to get funded.  Just write your book on your computer.

If you do fast, medical supervision is recommended
as well as knowledge of properly breaking the fast.
If you try to have a cheeseburger and fries after weeks without
food, you'll probably get very sick.

Also, no one here is going to believe a 40 day fast
so if credibility is important to you then vlog is good idea.
