Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

lol, very true. yet you have a better chance at doubling on an all in hand of dice then any ponzi scam offering 110-200% of your investment.

Indeed, some people do think the fractional banking system is a ponzi.
The following is just one example. (It doesn't mean I agree with the article at all)

Is that supposed to be reputable? The fact that you said we live in a ponzi world just shows you're deluded but let me do some quick Google research for you.

"What is HYIP?"

Google Result:

Quote
A high-yield investment program (HYIP) is a type of Ponzi scheme, an investment scam that promises unsustainably high return on investment by paying previous investors with the money invested by new investors. Most of these scams work from anonymous offshore bases which make them hard to track down.

I'm no Wall Street investor but that looks like some bogus shit my barely English speaking friend.

Think the OP needs to be changed to

'Why Double your Fee-yuck with your BTC when you can 100X it!!'  (Read how)

Buying and holding doesn't double anything insofar as BTC is concerned.

¯¯̿̿¯̿̿'̿̿̿̿̿̿̿'̿̿'̿̿̿̿̿'̿̿̿)͇̿̿)̿̿̿̿ '̿̿̿̿̿̿\̵͇̿̿\=(•̪̀●́)=o/̵͇̿̿/'̿̿ ̿ ̿̿

Gimme the crypto!!

Exactly why I said Value, not actual BTC count.
