Original DobZombie thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=659146.0

MINING FOR DobZombie WEEKEND

To help DocZombie out I hereby ask the community to point their miner(s) this weekend, June 28 and June 29, to the wallet of DobZombie.

If a lot of Bitcoin community members point (one of their) miner(s) for 1 or 2 days to the wallet of DobZombie we would help Dob and Noella out, to get 10 to 12 BTC in just one weekend ! You will only miss 1 or 2 days miningprofit for your own wallet.

I will point some of my miners with a hashpower of 3.4TH/s total (which is 0.1BTC per day) to DobZombie's wallet this full weekend. Come on guys and girls, every little bit of hashpower will help ! If at least 100 or more people will join we should be able to mine 10+ BTC for him.

Do only mine to DobZombie's wallet: 17uWCajedEVHJgds2Fzm752By1YVG4wPN2

If we use eligius miningpool we can easily mine direct to his wallet. !

Pooladdress: stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st
port: 3334
DobZombie Wallet: 17uWCajedEVHJgds2Fzm752By1YVG4wPN2

BFGMiner command:
bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -O 17uWCajedEVHJgds2Fzm752By1YVG4wPN2 -p anything

CGMiner command:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -u 17uWCajedEVHJgds2Fzm752By1YVG4wPN2 -p anything

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I have pointed one miner @ 17uWCajedEVHJgds2Fzm752By1YVG4wPN2 due to him being and old school miner. Even though it's Eligius, with that idiot lukejr associated with it, I can over come that for a weekend.

At least you did not pick EMC/BFL pool, which would have been a no go.

Have a good weekend everyone.

I'd have loved to contribute, but the days of CPU mining are long gone...
Good luck in saving as much of the museum as you can!

I would loved to help out too, but I don't have any bitcoin mining gear anymore.

Hopefully we can eventually raise enough to save most of the museum. Really sad what happened.  Angry

in the last hour we have had a wonderful member of this bitcoin community step forward and offer a loan for the remaining 10 coin needed to recoup the stolen amount - this means that none of the items will be sold and the museum will remain intact

I would like to thank everyone who has assisted us in loans and donations towards this amount, you have all restored my faith in the BTC community and I am now typing with eyes full of tears

and I would also like to say to everyone who showed an interest in this auction that I thank you for your support and kind words. Thanks to you guys the museum will not be getting split up, if you all hadn't got the word out there we would not have received the loans and donations that we did.
