Kim farted, I mean, launched 2 projectiles into the sea off the Korean peninsula.
Quote
(CNN) -- North Korea fired two projectiles Sunday that "appear to be short-range missiles" into the sea off the eastern coast of the Korean peninsula, a South Korean defense ministry official told CNN.
The launch took place shortly before 5 a.m. (4 p.m. ET Saturday), according to the official. The projectile's estimated range is 500 km (310 miles).
This is the second reported launch by North Korea in recent days.
On Thursday, U.S. and South Korean government officials reported North Korea had launched three projectiles from its southeastern coast.

If the Chinese dump him, Kim will be nothing. That is, even with his 2.5 million strong army. But the problem is that he does not care about his own citizens and can do another Pol Pot in the near future.

No one would probably know for a good while if he did. They are some of the most isolated people in the world.

He seems to be much more immature then his father was. I sometimes wonder how it is that he stays in power and why his people do not overthrow his government with how he treats his people and how outrageous he acts.

The propaganda is so structured and the nation so isolated. The population does not know how good life can be outside the walls of its country.

I remember reading about one North Korean that escaped from a labor camp. He decided to make a run for it when he saw a crate for food that had an expiration date on it. The fact that food was plentiful enough to spoil in other parts of the world was enough to convince him to make an attempt to escape.

Scary to think how brainwashed an entire nation can be.

Information is restricted in that country.

The same can be said on the US banking system. If the population know how the system work, they will demand it to stop.

It's no where near as isolated as they hope it would still be. They can only blame outsiders (US and the South) for so much but the continual weak lifestyles that most live outside of Pyongyang is hard for the people to overlook when they aren't eating regularly. But, they use fear as a shock collar and most people would rather suck it up than flip the bird to the state. However, there's lots of people spreading contraband (anti-state materials) in the country amongst themselves but just keep it on the down-low. Even the kids of the elites have many trendy South Korean products that aren't accepted but overlooked.

You are 100% correct. Some 3 million North Koreans died during the famine (1990s). Most of the mainstream media around the world remained silent on the news. People were cannibalizing each other, and most of the dead were children. Yet, not even the UN did anything to help them.

Only a few have laptops? Heard that the TOR browser was invented to help North Koreans access the internet without govt. spying, isn't it?

Again , bullshit commie propaganda.....

Beginning in 1996, the U.S. also began shipping food aid to North Korea through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to combat the famine. Shipments peaked in 1999 at nearly 600,000 tons making the U.S. the largest foreign aid donor to the country at the time

I completely forgot about North Korea. They are quite silent these days  Huh

Most North Koreans don't have laptops, so that would not make a lot of sense. TOR was originally sponsored by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. The U.S. State Department, the Broadcasting Board of Governors, and the National Science Foundation are major contributors according to Wikipedia. Privacy is very important for the military, so I would not be to surprised if it was developed for that reason. Nevertheless, even with TOR the mass surveillance program makes the US more vulnerable.

It's isolated but at the same time it's open. People can visit as tourist. They can be watched 24/7 trough satellite images and drones.
In addition, there is an underground tunnel network to South Korea, which could also be used.

Very true, the only reason NK still exists is because of China. If China would not be their ally, there would be one Korea now.
They should become more like China, the life for NK citizens would be better.
