They may not need to be replaced. Charlie from Bitinstant was talking about buying them out and continuing the service.

That would be great news! Hopefully, Charlie gets it good person to own  it.

https://blockchain.info/wallet is a good fast alternative for now. They have recently had downtime issues but I think all those were resolved.
