1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc., the world's leading florist and gift shop, today reported that it will begin accepting bitcoin, the world's most widely used digital currency. Beginning this fall, bitcoin will join familiar payment options, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal, that are available to the company's customers across its extensive family of gifting sites, including 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, FannieMay.com, Cheryls.com, ThePopcornFactory.com, 1-800-Baskets.com, FruitBouquets.com, and Stockyards.com.

I'm looking forward to trying my first phone transaction with bitcoin.

This is one thing that I haven't thought would be easy with bitcoin.  For example: if I'm driving, I can't pay for my  flowers without getting an invoice & paying later.

We need some sort of debit/credit functionality to allow the company to request payment, but I'm guessing we'll all get used to paying invoices after the phone hangs up or once we're at a computer (if we're not there while on the phone).

I was thinking more along the lines of Shoot I forgot our wedding anniversary
Has mobile phone calls 1-800 Flowers pays with Bitcoin using the block chain app and have the flowers delivered post haste just in time
But your car example is a good one too sneakily make an order while in the car with the missus and they would be none the wiser to it.

That said I think they would use coinbase but not sure since I haven't tried it myself.
