Hi team, I'm looking to participate in trust-required trades with other users on this forum sometime in the near future however I'm new and have nothing going for me in terms of reputation at the moment (as we can all see lol). Does anyone have tips on how to achieve this? am by no way looking for a quick/easy way of going about this just a push into the right direction is all. I've thought about taking loans that I don't need and just returning the BTC with the interest they demand etc but that's basically doing the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve (basically buying my rep). Please advise. Also to stimulate some further discussion for those not interested in helping me; I've noticed cryptobetting removed just-dice from it's highscores #RIP ( http://cryptobettingindex.com/)

Exactly as you said, there is no easy way to gain trust in a short period of time. You need to build it slowly with trades. I've thought about taking loans that I don't need and just returning the BTC with the interest they demand etc but that's basically doing the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve (basically buying my rep).
That is not a good idea, as explained by Kluge in a sticky post in the lending section. General good practices: - Please refrain from requesting unnecessary "confidence loans" (a loan you don't need, but want to take out simply to show you'll repay). This was an issue a year or so ago, where scammers would take out incrementally larger loans, pay maybe .1BTC in interest, then take off with a 1BTC loan. A history of so-called confidence loans inspire more hesitancy than confidence.

The option with the multiple loans is not really an option. Do not even try to ask for loan especially if you do not have collateral. My suggestion is that you contribute with something to the forum members. Also try to trade different things which might interest the people around here. With the time you will get organic trust . There is no chance you will get fast real positive trust. Whish you all the best and beware of scammers. BR

Takes a lot of time to build up trust levels, there's been so many scams including several hero member users on this forum.
I always check users trust feedback to get a general idea of their trustworthiness

Not many people here are willing to sell BTC through Paypal, so you could fill that gap with someone with at least one trust point. That's risky, but if the trade is small that would be a good way to boost your trust level.

OP has an interesting situation that's kind of similar to mine I've been on this forum for a while, mostly just lurking, and haven't really participated in the community much. Need to build my trust as well

The only way to build trust is to do it the hard way and actually build it over time. Nobody is going to trust you if your sole reason for acquiring trust is just to appear trustworthy, and people are smart enough here to see through people who take out loans that they don't need just to build up trust. Doing so may even have a negative impact on you and might even get you negative feedback as this is a classic scammer trait. If you genuinely want to build up some rep and trust just stick around and contribute to the forum and do trades when and where you can and you will slowly but surely build up both.

Do little trades and you will be fine, than it will get higher by time. You can also make some services and you can get trust from there also.

There is no easy way, and no reason to rush. Reputation is earned around these parts. If you take part in several escrowed trades that go very smoothly, you may get positive trust from a trusted escrow that may be on the default trust list. Best to just stick around and let time do its thing.

I'm sure there is a thread that discusses this in Meta -- that's where forum information like this is. My assumption just from experience is that a certain number of positive trust from default trust members will give you "green" trust.
