I must say this now, so later no one can say "sour grapes" was the motivator, and I know I'm taking a chance that this comment will be counter productive for a win.
I’ve been submitting my designs on various coin logo’s contest for sometime, and I'm a participant for this one.
I've always figured, if this is the way the developers want it, oh well! Honestly, I’ve never given it much thought as to how these selection processes are conducted
until now (reading some of the recent post).
I’ve never voted on this forum, I've never had a thought about voting for myself... I didn’t even think it was possible. Not that I’m trying to achieve some higher moral image,
it just does not seem ethical. Generally thinking, now I’m beginning to wonder how fair an open voting process can be.
I mean what if you have following, naturally the followers vote for your coin. How often can this been done? What if the followers have various aliases?
What happens if the developer doesn’t care for the voted logo, do they have to accept the voting? Then what’s the purpose for voting to begin with?
I can understand if the developers have committee responsible to select a design, but this wouldn’t be advertised. They just simply make a decision based on there vision.
When it comes to this subject, I think voting needs to be rethought.
… Has anyone else thought of this?
I guess this is not one of the contests that being sponsored by the dev so it's not the same. Voting only available to registered members for sometimes with a certain post count so it'll be hard to get followers to vote for you. Like I said earlier I just wanted a nice looking logo because that's the first thing people look at and everyone are entitle to bring on ideas and submissions. I didn't even limit the number of submissions. Have a great one and good luck. We're down to 11 hours or so to go.
