Did you have to use a CNC for all of the custom cuts? Have you considered using a thinker sheet of aluminum for all of the panels? Definitely curious to see where this goes.

Used 0.794 for side panel for prototyping.

Final design uses 3.175 front and back panels and middle brackets. Sides are 1.587 and top is 0.794.

I'd be interested in a very lightweight frame to stack 3 S3 vertically.

How many  would you like to stack?

What I envision now are stacks 3 tall with an IBM 2000 watt power supply between 2 stacks.

Just to confirm:
non rack mount enclosure with 6 blades, 120 fans front and back, cutouts for power cables like in S3 box?

Does it matter if the fans are inside the case or outside?

I would be interested in a 4U Rackmount case for 8 blades.
Is it possible to modify the case or get some kinda adapter to mount 2x HP DPS-800GBA power supplies (w/ Gigampz boards) into the ATX slots?

Sure, given enough demand it is possible.

Never saw pricing for your S1 blade case.  I'd love to get my hands on a few of them.  Did I read it right that your minimum order is 15 units?

I would also like at least 1. If it works out well I'd potentially like a few more.

I'd be interested in about 6. Would also love to be able to use my DPS-800GBA power supplies with their breakout boards. Also, how much extra noise does the enclosure add? Are the additional fans quite or rather loud?

Will someone offer a case for 2 S3s since they were sold in pairs?

I would also be interested in the S1 case on the first page. In fact, I registered just to say so. For me, the S1 units are still profitable because energy costs me 5 cents per KW/h for the first 1200 KW/h a month and then it goes down to a bulk rate if I use more. Given the cost of buying a used S1, it is actually a bit more profitable for me to have a stack of 4 overclocks S1 units than a newer more energy efficient unit, but I'm just starting out so I only have one S1 right now.

Although, I had two thoughts about how it could be improved:

1.) I noticed that the two blades are connected together with data cables and that there is an open socket. Couldn't you disconnect the 4 pin cable from the control board of a second S1 and plug it into the available socket on the first S1? I mean, the system is just two boards connected by data cables, so why can't 4 boards connect the same way? Or 8? If that's possible I wouldn't need so many Ethernet cables which would make buying a Wifi Ethernet adapter for all of them a bit more affordable since I would only need one. Is there a technical reason why that wouldn't work? And if it could, well, would it cause much trouble to have a double female Ethernet connector put into the back somewhere so that it would be easier to move the whole setup around?

2.) Right now I only have a single blade powered on while I wait for a new power supply to arrive in the mail, but that single blade is giving me a range between 105 and 155 GH because I have it pressed directly against the cold glass of an outside window (and it's not even freezing outside) which implies that properly cooling it should be able to give me as much as 300 GH/s so I got to thinking: What if a case like this could be designed like a window air conditioner, only instead of venting air to or from the outside the case itself acts like a secondary heat sink with fans pulling air in from the inside from one side, through the the back, along a narrow air channel, and then forward on the other side with hot air ultimately coming inside? As long as it is properly insulated against condensation a cold winter would act as the perfect super cooling system. It wouldn't be practical in the summer, but it could still be useful. Could something like that not only work, but be worth the money it would take to put it together? Or maybe, instead a window unit that would act as part of a liquid cooling system for a set of cases in front of it?

Of course, as a whole, the system that you build would be good for another reason: White Noise and Heat. My girlfriend runs a space heater in her room and white noise machines, but all the LED lights are the main reason why she doesn't want this running in her room. Your enclosure would allow her to direct all the heat where she wants it and position it in the colder parts.

Anyway, above questions aside, how much are you asking for an S1 case model that would hold 4?

Immortal until proven otherwise.
