I threw a little bit of BTC into a guy who was raising a bit of money for some mining equipment

(not an affiliate link - this was his listing https://btcjam.com/listings/15144)

Got my BTC back much quicker than I should have - plus some interest.

First experience went great to be honest.

I only had bad experiences with the website.  You can read more about it in this thread:

If they don't pay you back nothing happens.
The person gets to keep your BTC... the site (btcjam) gets a slight commision and you are still without your BTC.

They will not do squat to help you. Why do you think so many scammers use it. Their have been a few people recommending BTCjam lately.
Yeah, don't. Its just shady to say 'oh they are paying back now'.

Nothing can be happen most of the users on BTCjam are borrowers and they use only fake utility bills and fake incomes stubs.. and i want to tell you that you can make free stubs online easily or you can buy only for 10 dollars or so.. So btcjam is scam for investors and good way to scam for borrowers.. i dont say that you get scamed just confirm that they guy whom you lending is a good guy and paid his last loan .. and yeah first loan as big as 0.1 Smiley

I can't say much, identity information can be easily faked. I have tried to spread out the investments into small units to reduce the risk. Works once and had one default. I am not sure if it will continue to work.

I thought You are not real investor. You created another thread opposite of this.
You said you're borrower and your rating down from A to B after you repaid your first loan.
